This is God’s care for His righteous. We know well that David went through many afflictions when he was young, since he shared this with his men while they were in a cave, being chased by King Saul.
God helps those who do His will and always walk in righteousness. He grants them victory in all circumstances. The greatest victory that the psalmist David could have had was when God allowed him to have King Saul in his hands, but even so, David did not act against him, rather, he allowed God to act.
What David quotes in chapter 34, verse 21 of the Psalms shows us the security and care that God has for His children:
Evil shall slay the wicked: and they that hate the righteous shall be desolate.
Psalm 34:21
Despite the numerous afflictions that may affect the righteous, God always delivers him and will continue to do so. His bones will not be broken. As for those who are evil, the Lord will eliminate them from the face of the earth.
It is important to note that those who hate the righteous will be condemned, because the Lord is their defender. They will be redeemed, and none of them will be condemned as long as they trust in the Lord.
Let us continue to advance in faith, fully trusting in the Lord with all our hearts, since in the same way He preserved the lives of David and his men in times of war, He will also do so with you. Always trust in the almighty God, and you will not be condemned.
