Do you have faith?

There is a Christian song that says “if you try everything and everything fails you, try Christ”, and it is that in life we try to find happiness in different things and we do not find it, since many times we look for this happiness in things that for nothing makes the soul happy, until one day we fall at the feet of Christ.

Do you have faith? A person who has faith receives the strength of God to always be firm, and to think about the good works of the Lord in his life, because it is easy for anyone who lacks faith to be shot down by satan.

In the verse that we will see next, Paul wants people to be able to focus on doing things in faith, because if we do not act in faith, then the consequence of this is sin.

Hast thou faith? have it to thyself before God. Happy is he that condemneth not himself in that thing which he alloweth.

Romans 14:22

This is a great teaching so that we can do things with faith, act with faith before God, because it is by faith that we can know God, since we have not seen Him, but we know His words and His enormous presence and caring for us.

The apostle exhorts us brothers in faith, so that we can move forward in the faith that is in the Lord, that we do everything with faith, so that we can use that faith with us before God. So, if you feel that you are acting before the Lord with faith, then ask God, approach him and he will help you.

Faith is not simply believing that God exists, because even the demons believe and tremble. True faith is trusting God in every area of our lives, even when circumstances seem to contradict His promises. Many people claim to have faith, but when trials come, their confidence quickly fades because it was placed in emotions, possessions, or people rather than in the Lord.

When Paul speaks about having faith before God, he is pointing us toward a personal and sincere walk with Him. Faith is not something to boast about before others, nor is it a tool to judge our brothers. Instead, it is a personal conviction that governs our actions, decisions, and attitudes. A believer who acts in faith seeks to please God above all else and does not allow doubts or human opinions to dictate his walk.

Acting without faith leads the heart into confusion and condemnation. When we know what is right before God and yet act against our conscience, we open the door to guilt and spiritual weakness. That is why the apostle reminds us that blessed is the one who does not condemn himself in what he approves. Faith brings peace to the heart because it aligns our actions with God’s will.

In our daily lives, faith is tested constantly. We face decisions in our families, workplaces, churches, and personal struggles where we must choose whether to trust God or rely on our own understanding. Sometimes trusting God means waiting, sometimes it means obeying even when it is uncomfortable, and sometimes it means letting go of things that the flesh desires but the Spirit warns against.

Many believers grow weary because they try to live the Christian life in their own strength. Faith reminds us that we are not alone. God strengthens those who trust in Him, renews their minds through His word, and guides their steps through the Holy Spirit. When faith is active, fear loses its power, and discouragement no longer controls the heart.

Let us examine ourselves and ask if our actions reflect genuine faith. Do we pray with confidence? Do we obey God’s word even when no one is watching? Do we trust Him in times of lack, illness, or uncertainty? Faith grows when we spend time with God, meditate on His promises, and remember His faithfulness in the past.

If you feel weak in faith, do not be discouraged. Go before the Lord in humility and ask Him to strengthen you. God is pleased when His children depend on Him. He does not reject those who come to Him sincerely, seeking guidance and renewal. Faith is a gift that grows as we walk closely with Christ day by day.

May we live every aspect of our lives in faith, not condemning ourselves, but resting in the grace and mercy of God. When faith governs our hearts, our lives become a testimony of God’s power, peace, and faithfulness, bringing glory to His name.
