God is the judge: He puts down one, and exalts another

This is the pay for the wicked, for the wicked of the earth, those who have no mercy and carry a lofty heart: they will be humbled before God.

Throughout the Scriptures we see that arrogance is one of the attitudes that most offends God, because it places man in a position that does not correspond to him. The proud heart seeks its own glory, trusts in its own strength, and forgets that every breath of life comes from the Lord. The wicked believe that their position, power, or riches will sustain them, but they ignore that God weighs the hearts and examines the intentions of every soul.

Their prosperity will not last, their feet will stumble and their memories will be disturbed, Almighty God will darken their ways, because the judging and just God will pay them according to their works, which are evil.

Many people confuse temporary success with divine approval. The prosperity of the wicked often seems firm, but it is fragile and fleeting. When God withdraws His protection, their paths become confused, their decisions lead them to ruin, and fear overtakes their hearts. Scripture repeatedly warns us that wealth and power obtained without righteousness are unstable and cannot save anyone in the day of judgment.

You, then, a man of a haughty heart, what could happen before God who is judge? God humiliates these and makes them feel ashamed. These are the words we find in the book of Psalms:

But God is the judge: he putteth down one, and setteth up another.

Psalm 75:7

This verse reminds us that no authority on earth is absolute. Kings rise and fall, leaders are exalted and later brought low, all according to the sovereign will of God. Human pride blinds people into thinking they control their destiny, but the Lord alone governs history. When arrogance fills the heart, God allows circumstances that expose human weakness and reveal how dependent we truly are on Him.

That person whose heart is far from God, cannot be pleasing before God at all, because God humiliates those with a haughty heart, for this reason it is good that the human being finds the way to reconciliation with God.

Reconciliation with God begins with humility and repentance. The Lord does not despise a broken and contrite heart; on the contrary, He draws near to those who recognize their need for Him. Pride builds walls between man and God, but humility opens the door to grace, forgiveness, and restoration. Turning away from arrogance is not weakness; it is wisdom and obedience.

It is clear that the Lord humbles some and exalts others. Do you want to be praised by God? Leave your arrogance, act with piety, fulfill what the Word of him says correctly, and on that great day of final judgment you will be separated to go and dwell with Him for eternity.

Those who humble themselves before the Lord are taught by Him, corrected by His Word, and guided by His Spirit. God exalts the humble in due time, not for their own glory, but so that His name may be honored. Living according to the Word requires daily surrender, obedience, and a sincere desire to walk in righteousness, even when it goes against human pride.

But those who were arrogant during their lives on earth, who committed impieties and did not repent, these will also be separated, but not to dwell with Christ in the new Jerusalem, but rather they will be thrown into the lake of fire and brimstone. God have mercy on us.

This warning is not given to instill fear alone, but to call every soul to reflection and repentance. God desires that no one perish, yet His justice will be fulfilled. Today is the time to examine our hearts, abandon pride, and seek the mercy of God. Let us walk humbly before Him, remembering that every good thing comes from His hand and that only those who submit to His will will inherit eternal life.

Judgment is without mercy to the one who has shown no mercy
God lifts up the humble and casts the wicked down to the ground
