John, the one who was shown the book of revelation, as a book is called Revelation where the prophecies of the last times are written.
In one of his visions, John would be directed by an angel who would show him things that would happen very soon, but we can also see the reverence that this man of God made when he saw this wonderful being, that is why this faithful disciple knelt down.
The angel spoke to that man who bowed, and said: Do not do it because I am a servant of your brothers and the prophets. And he ended by saying the following:
Then saith he unto me, See thou do it not: for I am thy fellowservant, and of thy brethren the prophets, and of them which keep the sayings of this book: worship God.
“Worship God.” This was the message that the angel told John when he knelt down, it is evident that the respect that was in the heart of this man was great. This wonderful being was telling the apostle John that only God deserved worship and that we prostrate ourselves before Him.
Let us not forget that we must surrender ourselves only before God, adore Him in the magnificence of His power, adore Him in all His surroundings, praise Him for His great deeds. May everything that breathes praise him, amen.
