The Lord was my support on the day of my calamity

Of so many biblical stories, one of the most interesting is what happened to David and Saul, and that is why we will talk about how God delivered David from the hands of Saul and his men.

This man thanks God for this marvelous fact, because during all the time that he was persecuted by King Saul who tried to destroy him, God was with him throughout his journey.

In this psalm we can see the thanksgiving of the psalmist to the Lord for delivering him from the fury of this king.

They prevented me in the day of my calamity: but the Lord was my stay.

Psalm 18:18

The enemies of the Psalmist were more and more determined to finish him off, the angel of God was always with David and never allowed anyone to lay a hand on him, that is why we see these words of thanks from David, acknowledging that God was always on his side.

Dear brother, we must remember that no matter how strong our enemy becomes, we have someone who goes before and behind us to help us. Let’s put our trust in the Lord just like the psalmist did. God was with him and will also be with you.
