The Lord’s shield is always with those who are upright in heart, because everyone who walks in integrity before the Lord can count on the Lord’s help.
Walking in integrity before the Lord is what we must do every day, since His word commands us to walk in obedience to God and live in holiness so that one day we can meet with Him.
There is a verse in the book of psalms that tells us about the benefit of walking in integrity before God:
For the Lord God is a sun and shield: the Lord will give grace and glory: no good thing will he withhold from them that walk uprightly.
Psalm 84:11
