The time is near

In the book of Revelation there are words that warn us about the coming of the Lord, of the end times, since God selected a pure man and who agreed to follow the ways of the Lord to be able to bring these words sent by the Lord.

The book of Revelation is one of the most profound and solemn books of Scripture. Through visions, symbols, and divine messages, God reveals to humanity what will happen at the end of time. These words were not given to cause fear, but to awaken our conscience and strengthen our faith. The Lord, in His mercy, wanted His people to be informed, prepared, and firm in hope, knowing that everything He promised will surely be fulfilled.

John, the servant chosen by God, was not selected by chance. He was a faithful disciple, one who walked with Jesus, witnessed His miracles, and remained faithful even in times of persecution. God entrusted him with this revelation so that the churches and all believers throughout history would be warned and encouraged to persevere until the end.

John says: The time is near, and this tells us that we must prepare ourselves at all times because that great day will come like a thief in the night.

This statement does not mean that we should try to calculate dates or moments, but rather that we should live every day as if the Lord could return at any moment. The nearness of His coming is a call to vigilance, holiness, and faithfulness. As believers, we are exhorted to examine our lives, our conduct, and our relationship with God, making sure that we are walking according to His will.

Everyone who reads and hears these words, is blessed:

Blessed is he that readeth, and they that hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written therein: for the time is at hand.

Revelation 1:3

This blessing is not limited to reading or listening alone, but also to keeping what is written. God desires obedient hearts, not just informed minds. The words of this prophecy call us to repentance, perseverance, and spiritual alertness. They remind us that our faith must be active, producing fruits worthy of the calling we have received.

Every human being without exception must listen to the words of this prophecy, because we must know that Christ died for humanity so that we would all be saved through His sacrifice. The message of Revelation does not contradict the gospel; on the contrary, it confirms it. It shows us the final victory of Christ, the defeat of evil, and the eternal reward prepared for those who remain faithful.

God’s justice and mercy are clearly revealed throughout this book. While it speaks of judgment, it also proclaims hope, restoration, and eternal life for those who trust in the Lord. This is why it is essential that we do not ignore these words or consider them irrelevant, but rather treasure them as a guide for our spiritual walk.

The day is drawing near, this is what the one who saw and heard these words says. So brothers, let’s keep these words because our Lord is at the door.

Living with this awareness should transform the way we think, speak, and act. Knowing that the Lord is near should motivate us to love one another, forgive, serve faithfully, and remain steadfast in prayer. Let us not grow weary or distracted by the things of this world, but instead fix our eyes on Christ, who is faithful and true.

May these words encourage us to remain firm until the end, trusting that He who promised is faithful to fulfill every word. Let us be found watching, faithful, and ready when our Lord returns.

Cursed be the deceiver
I'll be there praising God
