This is a warning about those gluttonous people who only think about and eat and this is not pleasing before God, that is a sin.
So, brothers, do not let gluttony reach your life and make you lose your temper in your life, be careful with this, if you walk away it is the best, since it is not the will of God.
Next we will see a warning that Jesus gives about this, since it is an evil that makes brothers in faith lose focus on God’s call. Let’s see:
And take heed to yourselves, lest at any time your hearts be overcharged with surfeiting, and drunkenness, and cares of this life, and so that day come upon you unawares.
People like this, those who are gluttonous, only have on their minds eating and eating until they finish everything they can, forgetting that a great day can be surprised. That is why Jesus himself advises not to load our hearts with drunkenness, gluttony and eagerness. Rather, we must be prepared for the day that death or our Lord comes to us, does not find us being gluttons, busy in things that do not profit.
Let’s be wise and take this warning that Jesus gives us, we all know that it is not the will of God, to see us being gluttonous, drunk to the point of not being able to, and involved in worries more than in His coming. This is sin and if you are in these conditions, you will stay if Christ comes at this time.
