For this you should give thanks unto the Lord

The psalmist David placed the ark of God in a safe place, there they offered peace offerings, thus acclaiming the name of the almighty God.

It was a great joy to be able to have the ark of God in a safe place, offer praises and songs to Him, bless the name of God all gathered before the ark of God.

Then, David blessed all the people of God, women and men, and distributed to them a cake of bread, a piece of meat, and a cake of raisins. Of the words that David pronounced at that time and that were the inspiration to write some verses of Psalms 105, 106 and 96, we want to highlight the following:

O give thanks unto the Lord; for he is good; for his mercy endureth for ever.

1 Chronicles 16:34

God is good, his mercy is forever, that is why we must acclaim him, as the verse we saw earlier exhorts.

It is good that we can remember everything that our God does for all humanity, that is why day by day we must praise his name, crying out and exalting him for his powerful works.

This we know
God is God, near and far
