Seven reasons why you should love Jesus

Seven reasons why you should love Jesus

Why should we love Jesus? We know that there are countless reasons to love our Savior, and just the fact that He gave Himself for us on the cross to forgive our sins is enough for us to love Him. Still, we’ll show you seven of the many reasons why you should love Jesus.

7 reasons why you should love Christ:

1 – Because He loved you first

Before we knew and loved Christ, He already loved us. No matter that we were terrible sinners, knowing He the present, past and future, yet He loved us:

We love him, because he first loved us.

1 John 4:19

2 – He died for you

We must have pure awareness that we did not save ourselves, but He left His throne, to die for us, thus showing His love for humanity:

But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.

Romans 5:8

3 – He is your lawyer

Let us remember that the enemy will always be aware of everything we do, if we take a wrong step, because he already comes with his accusing finger, that is why it is good brothers in Jesus Christ, that we be very careful. But Jesus loves us so much that he is our defender:

My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous:

1 John 2:1

4 – He gave you life in abundance

The love of Jesus is incomparable and immense, so much so that He came to bring us life and peace, He did not come to destroy us, rather to offer us life in abundance, because through His sacrifice He showed us that He loves us greatly:

The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.

John 10:10

5 – He rescued you

His love was so visible that He gave Himself and fulfilled His purpose on Earth even though He was humiliated and mistreated. But with this He showed many who were wrong and blind, that the love of God was real, and that His testimony could reach multitudes who knew Him, were liberated and embraced by the love of Christ.

Who gave himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time.

1 Timothy 2:6

6 – Gives you peace

We must have peace despite the difficult situation we are going through. Before being ascended to heaven, Jesus gave a word to His disciples to make them understand that they would not be alone. We can also take these words for ourselves, to understand that we are not alone and to be able to have peace in the midst of adversity:

Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.

John 14:27

7 – Has a place for you in the kingdom of heaven

He ascended to heaven and left us the Comforter so that we are not alone. The best news is that He went to prepare a place for us. We must walk upright in the ways of the Lord so that we can meet with Him.

In my Father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.

John 14:2

Brothers, we must trust each day in this pure and true love that comes from our beloved Lord, our Jesus who loves us from the beginning, and through His death on the cross showed us that we are important. Let us also show our love for Him and give thanks for having loved us first.

Make haste to help me, O Lord, my salvation!
