The Lord is my strength and song

From whom does our refuge come if not from the same holy and true God, just and faithful? His armies praise him without ceasing, let us sing songs to the Name that is above all names: invincible God.

In this way we can sing before our God, to the God of our strength, a new song that reaches His throne, from Him comes our salvation and refuge.

The book of Exodus shows us the power and greatness of God, and this was what led Moses and the people to do the following:

The Lord is my strength and song, and he is become my salvation: he is my God, and I will prepare him an habitation; my father’s God, and I will exalt him.

Exodus 15:2 (KJV)

This is a song which was sung by Moses and the people of Israel for this enormous victory which they had had, we can clearly see what this song says in the verses that follow.

“God is my strength and my song.” These people sang to God for those obstacles that were before them and that were removed by God. They were being thankful that God had brought them out of Egypt and from the harsh hands of Pharaoh had delivered them.

How good that we can give thanks when we are delivered from the hands of our enemies. In the same way we invite you to get up if you are exhausted, sing to the Lord because your victory is near, remember that it is not time to go back but to raise your hands and sing to the Lord, the God of your salvation.
