Be of good comfort, rise; Jesus calleth thee

Our hope is because we have Jesus in our hearts and that is why we have to maintain this full trust in our Lord Jesus, no matter what problem we have before us, let us trust in the Lord who will help us.

Many people, when they heard that Jesus would pass through their city, ran to see him and throw their needs before the Lord, others went to speak ill of the deeds that Jesus did, but many received the Lord’s miracle.

And Jesus stood still, and commanded him to be called. And they call the blind man, saying unto him, Be of good comfort, rise; he calleth thee.

Mark 10:49 (KJV)

The previous verse corresponds to the story of a blind man from a city called Jericho. This man asked Jesus to have mercy on him, and he did so by shouting in a loud voice saying “Jesus, son of David, have mercy on me”.

Many rebuked this man to keep quiet but Jesus had mercy on him and sent for him, that’s why we see in the verse that the blind man is told “Be confident; get up, he calls you”.

On this day we tell you to call Jesus and present your needs before Him. We know that He will listen to you, send for you and solve your need. That is why we say to you today too: Have confidence; get up, Jesus calls you.
