Each one will die for his own evil

But every one shall die for his own iniquity- every man that eateth the sour grape, his teeth shall be set on edge

It is good to know that God’s purpose is to restore and make everything flourish. Our God is in control of all things.

As for the people of Israel, those people who had been freed from slavery by God, after they left Egypt, they should go ahead and continue under the presence and wisdom of God, thus carrying the laws and statutes of the Lord.

The people had many leaders, they had prophets who heeded the call of God, one of them was Jeremiah, called by the Creator from the womb of his mother. The dreams that he began to have were of warning towards the town.

The following verse shows us what the Lord tells the people through the prophet Jeremiah:

But every one shall die for his own iniquity: every man that eateth the sour grape, his teeth shall be set on edge.

Jeremiah 31:30

The verse we have just seen reminds us of something very important and that is that on that great day, each person will answer for their own actions. The leaders of our churches are there to advise and help us, but in the end, salvation is individual, that is, the search for God and walking correctly is something personal, you cannot deviate from the paths because you saw some defect in your leader or church.

Our behavior causes sin to bring death into our lives. Brothers, many times the people of God behaved very badly and by God’s mercy no judgment came to them, but we see this warning that the prophet Jeremiah makes, that everyone would suffer the consequence of his actions.

Let us take this warning into consideration, act according to the commands and carry on with good behavior before our God.
