As brothers in Christ that we are, we must know that we have to “edify one another”, in the sense of sharing a word that can bring wisdom to our soul, that helps us to know more about the Lord.
1 Thessalonians chapter 5 tells us about the Lord’s day, and urges us to watch and keep in constant search of the Lord, in a society that evolves towards evil every day, where entertainment is the main reason for many people, and in In the midst of such a society we must maintain our constant search for the Lord knowing that the fearsome day of the Lord is near.
Wherefore comfort yourselves together, and edify one another, even as also ye do.
1 Thessalonians 5:11 (KJV)
The apostle Paul commands the holy church of God to stimulate one another in faith, not to destroy or make comparisons of who is more spiritual or who has had greater ministerial achievements.
Christ approaches to seek His beloved people and we must always be ready, always preparing ourselves, knowing that the day is coming and we must not be found like those who are not children of the light and that day will surprise them.
