There is no happier person in this life than the one who loves God and does His will, since this type of person has a latent promise in his life that even if things go wrong, it will work for good.
It is extremely strange to say that something good can come from something bad, but in the Bible we find a promise that tells us exactly that, and it only asks us for one requirement: “Love God.” You love Him? So this promise is yours and you must embrace it today. You do not love Him? Then you must start living a life that pleases God.
And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.
Romans 8:28 (KJV)
Present afflictions are included in the phrase “all things work together for good”, thus demonstrating that God is sovereign and has the absolute ability to make those afflictions and difficulties not for our downfall, but for our good. There are other verses in the Bible that explain this dynamic, for example:
1 Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ’s sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong.
2 Corinthians 12:10 (KJV)
For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain.
Philippians 1:21 (KJV)
This is where the great difference of those who love God rises, and it is the promise that everything will end up adding positively. Death? It doesn’t matter, Paul said it’s profit. Weakness, scarcity, persecutions, needs, anguish? It doesn’t matter either, even that will work for the best.
On this day I want to tell you that it does not matter what you are going through, because if you love God, all that will work for good.
