The Bible teaches us to turn to our God when we are going through difficult times. In the Bible we find words of encouragement, and by that we bring hopeful verses for times of distress.
1- Dwelling in the secret place of the Almighty:
Dwelling under the shadow of our God is a privilege, since we are talking about God’s care for us, because there is nothing better than to be under the shelter of our God.
1 He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.
2 I will say of the Lord, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust.
Psalm 91:1-2 (KJV)
2- God is our refuge and strength:
When we feel alone we must turn to our God so that He comes to our aid to comfort our lives.
God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.
Psalm 46:1 (KJV)
3- Fortress in the day of trouble:
In the book of Nahum we can find words of encouragement, where we can learn that God is good, that He covers us in the day we feel distressed, and most importantly, that God knows those who trust Him, that’s why we must base our trust in God.
The Lord is good, a strong hold in the day of trouble; and he knoweth them that trust in him.
Nahum 1:7 (KJV)
4- He keeps in perfect peace those who trust in Him:
Trust in God is very important, since this trust gives us His refuge and His peace. Every person who trusts in God will be in perfect peace, his thoughts will be persevering in the Lord and his ways will be of blessing.
Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee.
Isaiah 26:3 (KJV)
5- Our strong tower:
We must run to God in our worst moments. He is the one who sustains us, He is the one who lifts us up, He is the one who heals our wounds.
The name of the Lord is a strong tower: the righteous runneth into it, and is safe.
Proverbs 18:10 (KJV)
Let us not doubt the powerful works of our God, He will always be present to give us encouragement.
