Our presence on earth is fleeting. Yes, we will live for eternity, when we be in heaven with our Beloved Lord Jesus Christ, but here on earth, we will only be for a brief moment. That moment walking in this world that we call “life”.
But to be able to walk in heaven with our Lord Jesus Christ we must pay a price, and that is to walk in holiness in this world. Many use the phrase “life is short” to do many things while they are alive, although these things do not please God, enjoy life satisfying the desires of the flesh because, however you want, “one is going to die.” Yes, life is short, and it is written in the Holy Scriptures:
O remember that my life is wind: mine eye shall no more see good.
Job 7:7 (KJV)
But this is not an excuse to do whatever you want. Remember that one day we will all have to appear to give an account of our works on earth:
For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad.
2 Corinthians 5:10 (KJV)
Therefore, instead of wasting time, this little time that we have in this world, it is better to take advantage of it in God, seeking God’s wisdom, walking as wise, studying His Word, doing good, walking upright before our God, doing the things that please Him.
If we do all this, then we can receive our reward that great day and we can be with our Beloved Lord Jesus Christ for all eternity, amen.
