In this article we will not talk about a magical way to avoid falling into sin, rather, it is about staying firm in what the Word of God teaches us, keeping our vocation firm, what we have believed in the message of the Gospel completely.
I will always say that in contrast the Bible is like the manual for a device you bought. To know it well, you need to read the manual, and furthermore, if you are a practitioner of some kind of discipline, you will need to study well to be really good. The same happens with Christianity, you cannot serve your vocation well if you do not throw yourself into studying the Word of God. The Bible teaches:
8 For if these things be in you, and abound, they make you that ye shall neither be barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.
9 But he that lacketh these things is blind, and cannot see afar off, and hath forgotten that he was purged from his old sins.
10 Wherefore the rather, brethren, give diligence to make your calling and election sure: for if ye do these things, ye shall never fall:
2 Peter 1:8-10 (KJV)
One of the main reasons believers fall is by straying from what is really good, and they end up idle, feeding the flesh and weakening the spirit.
We must maintain our spiritual life so as not to fall, and this requires a life that gives glory to God, that has devotion to heavenly things, study the Bible, not to boast of wisdom, but to apply it in our lives, preach the Gospel, To teach that Jesus is the Savior and worthy of all glory, pray to God, knowing that He is the one who answers our prayers.
