Why do we say that God is good? Well I would not say good, but very good, a God who heeds the call made by the just, who listens to his prayer and who helps him in delicate moments.
Mercy reaches us every day, when we are in danger, when we are anywhere, because His mercy accompanies us.
Let’s not think that His mercy is only when we are going through a problem, no. The mercy of our God is there from the beginning, that love so great that it reaches us and gives us peace in all our interior.
But what does the Bible tell us about the immense mercy of our God? Psalm 100 says the following:
For the Lord is good; his mercy is everlasting; and his truth endureth to all generations.
Psalm 100:5 (KJV)
Here we can learn about the immense mercy of God, how well He treats us, the great care that our God has with His children.
But what then shall we say of our God? Clearly the verse we just read teaches us that God’s mercy is eternal. That is to say, that it is extensive, and that it is forever and ever.
That is why it is good that we treasure His great mercy, because it is better to walk under His care, under His mercy. But we see that the author keeps saying that God’s truth endures from generation to generation. For that we must love this great gesture that our God has in our lives.
Let us be grateful, because if it weren’t for the mercy of our God to be in us, we wouldn’t be here anymore. To God be the glory forever.
