All the Word of God is worthy of us paying close attention to everything written in them. Sometimes we overlook things that seem simple but really must be of the highest importance.
There is a topic that can be the most difficult for everyone: “Forgiveness”. Forgiveness is already a word that in itself contains enormous weight. In how many situations have you been involved in which it has become impossible for you to forgive one hundred percent even though you are a Christian?
There are those who say: “May God forgive you”. But that same person who expresses himself in this way asks God for forgiveness for his own sins. So, do you think it makes sense to ask God for mercy when you don’t have mercy on those who are next to you?
The Bible tells us something very important about this:
But if ye do not forgive, neither will your Father which is in heaven forgive your trespasses.
The point here is that a person who does not forgive, notably has not known the love of God, who gave his life for us, bearing all our sins on a cross even when we were not deserving of that grace.
Oh dear brother, forgiveness is a heavenly art that we must practice if we presume that we really know God.
