Brothers, let us not be envious of the actions that the unjust takes, nor be close to them, nor take their path, because everything the unjust does, because this is an abomination before God.
Let’s be wise in the ways of the Lord, the unjust man is always thinking to do evil for his benefit, looking for ways to do things his way. He does not listen to the call of God, he has his heart far from the divine will of God.
The book of proverbs tells us about the unjust man and his path, a path that leads him to commit various atrocities:
31 Envy thou not the oppressor, and choose none of his ways.
32 For the froward is abomination to the Lord: but his secret is with the righteous.
33 The curse of the Lord is in the house of the wicked: but he blesseth the habitation of the just.
Proverbs 3:31-33 (KJV)
The first verse of chapter 3 of proverbs encourage us to not to be envious of the things that the unjust man does, to not envy his ways, even if he seems prosperous earthly speaking. Do not feel bad, just look at the Lord who is the giver of all things, in Him things are eternal and what He gives us are healthy things, He guides us on the right path so that we are always more than safe.
Verse 32 says that God abhors the wicked, and has fellowship with those who are righteous, those who walk in the righteousness of God.
And verse 33 clearly tells us that the curse of God is upon those whose thoughts are wicked, but God will bless the house of the righteous. So let us be just and do what God says, let us not envy the unjust, nor take his ways.
