Psalm 145 is a thanksgiving to God for His goodness and mercy, for His love and because He strengthens and saves the weak.
That is why we see that the title says “Praise for the goodness and the power of God”. Will there be goodness in another like that which is in our God? Well no, only in our powerful God there is that goodness and that pure love that inspire confidence.
That is why David writes that psalm in thanks to God:
1 I will extol thee, my God, O king; and I will bless thy name for ever and ever.
2 Every day will I bless thee; and I will praise thy name for ever and ever.
3 Great is the Lord, and greatly to be praised; and his greatness is unsearchable.
Psalm 145:1-3 (KJV)
David says “I will exalt you, my God.” David knew that he should not exalt anyone else but God, who delivered him every day and every moment from his adversaries, cared for him and strengthened his spirit in order to continue on the path of the Lord.
This man continues to say in honor and praise to the Lord, “My King, and I will bless Your name forever and ever”. Let us remember that we must give our praises to the Lord God Almighty. There is no other like Him, sovereign and majestic God.
“Great and worthy of supreme praise, each day I will bless you, eternally and forever”. These were the words that came from the heart and mouth of the psalmist David towards God, he did not stop glorifying the name of our powerful God.
