Brothers, let us thank God for His great mercy and for God’s care with us, let us praise His name because His love and His power keep us every day from our adversaries, from those who every day look for ways to harm us, our God take care and keep our entrance and our exit.
He is our protective shield, our refuge is He, in no one else can we sustain ourselves but in our great and strong God, He is the one who helps us overcome our fears in order to fight our enemies.
My help comes from You Lord. We could see these encouraging words in some writings of the psalmist David, recognizing that God was the only one who could help him when he was in trouble with his enemies.
4 Thou art my King, O God: command deliverances for Jacob.
5 Through thee will we push down our enemies: through thy name will we tread them under that rise up against us.
6 For I will not trust in my bow, neither shall my sword save me.
7 But thou hast saved us from our enemies, and hast put them to shame that hated us.
Psalm 44:4-7 (KJV)
This psalm is written for the liberations that were in the times when the people of Israel were in terrible captivity, but that also was liberated by God at the same time, and that speaks of the present trials.
We can also observe that this Masquil of the sons of Korah speaks of all the trials and difficulties that their parents experienced at that time, and they remembered that only God could bring liberation on them and take them from that place with a strong hand, helped them to defeat the other nations. God is powerful and our helper, let us trust Him fully.
