When there are no more forces, when you believe that everything is over, we must have full confidence that God is the one who girds us with strength, because in Him we can be lifted as high as the eagle.
God is the one who gives us that strength, helps us to continue day after day, that strength with which we can overcome any weakness that wants to take over our being. So we must trust Him, believe that everything is possible in Him.
33 God is my strength and power: and he maketh my way perfect.
34 He maketh my feet like hinds’ feet: and setteth me upon my high places.
35 He teacheth my hands to war; so that a bow of steel is broken by mine arms.
2 Samuel 22:33-35
In the previous verses David expresses a song of liberation, which is like giving thanks to God for the wonderful work done in the psalmist’s life, for this reason this man thanks God through songs of praise.
David says the following in these verses that it is God who girds him with power, implying that without God he could do nothing, because his strength came from God alone.
God is the one who makes us firm on high, gives us firmness and strength, strengthens us for battle, prospers us day after day.
Who like this man? He knew how to thank God for the powerful work that God did in his life, all his trust was placed in the Lord.
