If the Lord does not guard the city, the guard watches in vain

God, as Creator of all things, knows each one of us, therefore, our protection comes from Him, if we are kept it is by His grace and power.

The Lord is our light and salvation, only in Him can we trust every day, only He is the one who gives us the wisdom and courage to continue. Every day illuminates our walk so that we can see more clearly and do not stumble before the problems that arise.

Psalms 127 is a gradual song for Solomon. This psalm makes us see that prosperity comes from God:

1 Except the Lord build the house, they labour in vain that build it: except the Lord keep the city, the watchman waketh but in vain.

2 It is vain for you to rise up early, to sit up late, to eat the bread of sorrows: for so he giveth his beloved sleep.

3 Lo, children are an heritage of the Lord: and the fruit of the womb is his reward.

Psalm 127:1-3

Clearly in this chapter tells us that God must be first in everything, because everything that is going to be done must be that the Lord has already commanded, because a man without God’s direction will always be lost.

So, we must act under God’s direction, in everything we do, that is why it says that if it is not God who builds the house, those who build it work in vain.
