Exhortation to praise God

Let the people praise thee, O God; let all the people praise thee

The truth is that we must praise the Lord our God at all times and Psalm 67 is an exhortation to all the earth to praise the Lord. So, through some verses of this valuable Psalm, let us rekindle that flame of worshiping the name of our God, for He is worthy of all praise and glory.

5 Let the people praise thee, O God; let all the people praise thee.

6 Then shall the earth yield her increase; and God, even our own God, shall bless us.

7 God shall bless us; and all the ends of the earth shall fear him.

Psalm 67:5-7 (KJV)

Spurgeon said about verse five, that although we see a mere repetition in the verse, it is a way of giving importance that all peoples have to praise the Lord. In addition, this is a poetic way in which the people of Israel wrote, an emphasis, so that the importance of said writing is felt.

If there is an appropriate way for lives to be blessed, it is by recognizing the way of the Lord, blessing His name and recognizing that only He is God and Lord.

O reader, let us praise God and may all nations fear Him, and understand that He is the mighty God, who brings down the rain, rises the sun, and gives light with the moon. Praise the Lord!

If the Lord does not guard the city, the guard watches in vain
Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself
