This article is based on some verses from Isaiah 60, some verses full of light and hope, after the disaster described in chapter 59, of how they had sinned against the Lord. So, I recommend that after you read this article, you also read Isaiah 59 for a better understanding. The central verses of this article say:
1 Arise, shine; for thy light is come, and the glory of the Lord is risen upon thee.
2 For, behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and gross darkness the people: but the Lord shall arise upon thee, and his glory shall be seen upon thee.
3 And the Gentiles shall come to thy light, and kings to the brightness of thy rising.
Isaiah 60:1-3 (KJV)
These verses are very famous, especially verse number one, even songs have even been written about it. And it is that we love hearing words such as: “The glory of the Lord is born on you”, “shine”, etc. But the truth is that if we look at this precious verse only on the human side, we will not be able to fully understand it.
