One body in Christ

The church is a body, but not just any body, but the body of Christ, and we must act as such. The first thing we must know is that a body is united. There is no body with an arm hundreds of kilometers away, but everything is united.

Let us remember the day of Pentecost, the Bible says that all were unanimous, in the same mind, in the same way the church must walk, united, in the same mind.

The apostle Paul said:

3 For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith.

4 For as we have many members in one body, and all members have not the same office:

5 So we, being many, are one body in Christ, and every one members one of another.

Romans 12:3-5

Verse number three is a command to humility, and the Bible tells us a lot about it. We must think with sanity of ourselves, knowing that we belong to the body of Christ, and that no one is greater than anyone, that we are all equal in Christ and must complement each other in unity and understanding.
