As believers in Jesus, it is normal for us to go through trials, contempt of others, ridicule, etc. But in the midst of all that we must understand that we have a hope, which is to meet Christ Jesus in heaven, and that hope should not embarrass us.
The Bible says:
3 And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience;
4 And patience, experience; and experience, hope:
5 And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us.
It is logical that the trials will bring tears to our eyes, and may even lead us to a field where we believe that God abandoned us. But, all those tribulations we go through are an honor, because we are suffering for the cause of Christ and that will shape us to be patient.
And that patience produces a hope that this world does not have, that although we are going through various trials, we have that living hope that one day we will not have any more suffering because we will abide in Christ for an eternity.
O dear brother, we have hope in Christ, and that is enough to continue fighting, supporting, living with a real north that we are fighting a good battle and that even these tribulations are nothing compared to the weight of glory that Christ has promised us.
