We must recognize the Lord as our Creator and because He was the author of everything that surrounds us today. When you wake up and breathe, when you put your feet on the ground, when you raise your hands, with these three things you realize how wonderful God is.
From the moment we open our eyes each morning, we are witnessing a miracle that often goes unnoticed. Life itself is a gift from God, and every breath we take is sustained by His power. The beating of our hearts, the movement of our bodies, and the clarity of our thoughts are not coincidences, but manifestations of His divine care. Recognizing God as our Creator leads us to live with gratitude and humility before Him.
My God is powerful, to Him be the glory and the empire for ever and ever, as His Holy Word says, the Creator of all that exists, our mighty God, He called things by their names and created them perfect, for the orderly enjoyment of all humanity, let us thank our God for this wonderful gesture.
When God created the heavens and the earth, He did not act in haste or disorder. Everything was formed with purpose, wisdom, and love. From the vastness of the universe to the smallest detail of creation, everything reflects His majesty. The sun that gives us light, the rain that nourishes the earth, and the seasons that mark our lives are testimonies of a God who cares deeply for His creation.
16 For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him:
17 And he is before all things, and by him all things consist.
18 And he is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things he might have the preeminence.Colosenses 1:16-18
Here Paul speaks to the Colossians, saying that all things were created by our God, says that the heavens and the earth, be thrones, be dominion, be principalities, all were created by Him and for Him.
The apostle Paul reminds us that nothing exists outside of God’s authority. Not only the visible things we can touch and see, but also the invisible realities, spiritual powers, and heavenly realms are under His control. This truth gives us peace, because we know that our lives are not governed by chaos, but by a sovereign and loving Creator.
He is before all these things, He is the head of the body of the church, which we must serve forever.
As the head of the church, Christ sustains and guides His people. The church does not exist by human effort, but by His divine will. Each believer is part of that body, called to live in obedience, faith, and love. Serving Him is not a burden, but a privilege, because we are serving the One who gave us life and redemption.
Understanding God as our Creator should transform the way we live. It should move us to walk responsibly, caring for what He has entrusted to us, and honoring Him in our actions. When we recognize that everything was created by Him and for Him, our priorities change, and we begin to seek His will above our own desires.
Let us therefore give glory to God in all things. Let us acknowledge Him not only with our words, but also with our lives. May every step we take, every decision we make, and every breath we breathe be an act of worship to our Creator, who reigns forever and ever.
