Let us thank God every day, because He has forgiven us, for that reason we are more than blessed, because the Lord forgave our transgression and extended His hand to us.
The psalm that we will see in this article was written by David, and it is about forgiveness. Blessed is the one whom God forgives and covers with His power:
1 Blessed is he whose transgression is forgiven, whose sin is covered.
2 Blessed is the man unto whom the Lord imputeth not iniquity, and in whose spirit there is no guile.
3 When I kept silence, my bones waxed old through my roaring all the day long.
4 For day and night thy hand was heavy upon me: my moisture is turned into the drought of summer. Selah.
David made many mistakes, but he knew how to go before the presence of God and ask forgiveness before Him for the fault committed.
This man poured out his spirit and heart before God, humbled himself before God, and a proof of this is the third verse of the portion we saw earlier.
Let us thank God that we are blessed because He forgave us, for His love and His goodness, God is our refuge in the midst of drought.
