Whoever is outside the grace of God, who does not walk under His statutes, walks without stop with vague thoughts that inspire him to continue on the path that does not please God.
This person often believes that he is acting wisely, trusting in his own reasoning and emotions, but in reality he is guided by unstable ideas that change according to circumstances. When God is not at the center, thoughts easily become confused, priorities are altered, and the heart begins to justify actions that move further and further away from the truth. This is why the Word constantly calls us to examine ourselves and to return to the ways of the Lord.
But who is this who knows the thoughts of man and who knows his heart? Is it not God? Only He knows all the thoughts of man and as the Bible says, He searches the thoughts of man. Nothing that passes through our minds is hidden from Him. Even those intentions that we try to disguise before others are fully exposed before the presence of God, who sees not only what we do, but also why we do it.
It is good that every day we can surrender before God, that we can recognize our mistakes before Him. This daily surrender helps us to remain humble and sensitive to His correction. When we bow our hearts before the Lord, we acknowledge that we need His guidance, His forgiveness, and His wisdom to make correct decisions. A life of surrender is a life that learns to depend on God and not on its own strength.
Remember we must not hide anything because if we think that we are deceiving Him, we are wrong. God looks at all things. He knows our words before they are spoken and understands our thoughts from afar. Therefore, sincerity before God is essential. Confession and repentance open the door for restoration and allow God to work deeply in our lives.
God is merciful and good to all of us, He knows how to do justice with His children. His justice is not like human justice, which is often influenced by favoritism or emotion. God’s justice is perfect and is always accompanied by mercy. When He corrects us, He does so out of love, seeking our growth and not our destruction.
In the book of Proverbs we find the proverbist talking about the way of man and his thoughts, who only think about walking in their own opinion. This book repeatedly warns us about the danger of leaning on our own understanding. Human wisdom has limits, but divine wisdom comes from above and leads us on the right path.
A man’s heart deviseth his way: but the Lord directeth his steps.
Proverbs 16:9
This verse clearly teaches us that man may plan, dream, and design his future according to his own desires, but it is ultimately the Lord who directs each step. Many times, we make plans believing that they are correct, without consulting God. Later, we realize that only His guidance could have prevented us from making serious mistakes.
Man has always wanted to manage his own thoughts, walk as he wants, walk in his own opinion, thinking that everything he says is like this, that it will be very great in his future, especially forgetting God. History and personal experience show us that when God is excluded, plans eventually collapse. Pride leads the heart away from dependence on the Lord, and this distance produces spiritual emptiness.
But in the end it is God who knows how things should be and it is He who will guide the way of man. When we allow Him to lead us, our steps become firm even in difficult times. Trusting God does not mean that we will not face challenges, but it assures us that we will not walk alone. His direction gives peace, clarity, and hope, even when the future seems uncertain.
Therefore, let us learn to place our thoughts, plans, and desires in the hands of God. Let us seek His will daily through prayer and His Word, knowing that His guidance is always better than our own understanding. Walking under His grace and direction is the safest path we can choose.
