My strength is You, Lord

Sometimes there come times when we cannot do anything because we don’t have the strength, but God in His infinite mercy gives us the strength we need and sustains us.

All we can achieve is because God helps us and increases our wisdom and strength so that we can move forward in His ways. That is why we give thanks for all that God does with us and praise His holy and blessed name.

Our strength comes from the Lord. Believe it. For this reason we will quote a verse from the book of Psalms that tells us about the difficult times that the writer of that psalm lived and how he asked God for strength. He asked God because he knew that God would answer him and He is the only one who can give us that strength we need.

The Lord is my strength and my shield; my heart trusted in him, and I am helped: therefore my heart greatly rejoiceth; and with my song will I praise him.

Psalm 28:7

The clear thing is that we see the psalmist David asking the Lord for help, we know that David was doing these things because only God could defend and sustain him.

Not everyone has this kind of attitude, of asking God for help, many believe that with their strength they can continue but it is not so, and that is why we should take this living example of the psalmist David.

Let’s look carefully at the words that this man pronounced before God. David was clearly making a statement of what God was for him: His shield and strength. That is why David trusted God, because he could see the hand of God always working in his life.

Just as this man fully trusted God, with all his heart, we also trust, we believe that God is our shelter and eternal strength.

...
Under His Presence, we will never be defeated
I cried to You, O Lord; I said: You are my refuge
