Preaching the gospel is something key to the church of Christ. A preacher said: “The church that does not evangelize is already dead”. And this of preaching the gospel is the great commission of the church, and if we don’t do it then we are not even worthy to call ourselves the church of Christ. So, since evangelizing is extremely important, here are some verses from the Bible that will help you with your good performance in evangelization.
We must let people without God know that God has shown His great love for humanity, sending His son to die on a cross for our sins, and that, being sinners, lovers of evil, children of injustice, however, Christ died for us enduring all the wrath of God.
2 – Everyone who believes in the Gospel has eternal life
This verse is the diamond of the Bible, since it tells us how the Father loved us by sending His Son to die on a cross, and also how He offers salvation to everyone who believes in Him, salvation from the wrath of God, and at the same time He offers us an eternal life in heaven together with Him.
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
John 3:16
3 – If you confess Jesus you will be saved
We are often presented with countless rules for believing in Jesus, however, several Bible verses, like this one, show us that if we believe in Jesus, we will be saved. It should be noted, however, that this belief implies “believing” everything about the person of Jesus and everything He has said in His Word.
9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
Romans 10:9-10
4 – Jesus is the only mediator
There is no one on this earth who can free man from his sin and give him new life, only Jesus offers such a thing:
5 For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus;
6 Who gave himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time.
1 Timothy 2:5-6
5 – Jesus knocks at the door!
C.S. Lewis said in his book “Mere Christianity” that many times God has to invade us so that we can reach Him, in short, enter by force… Often this verse has been used by many to believe that God depends on us to save us, but it is not like that, the good news is that God is able to invade us to save us:
Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.
Revelation 3:20
6 – Christ died for sinners
There is no sinner so filthy that God cannot cleanse him from his sin. The blood of Christ shed on the cross is powerful enough to cleanse us from our sins. Just one thing here, dear friend: you are a sinner and need a savior; you cannot save yourself:
For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit:
1 Peter 3:18
7 – JJesus is the bread of life and the water that quenches your thirst
Why is it that no matter how much material goods, fame, and health a person acquires or has, he or she remains unhappy? In fact, most of these people suffer from severe depression, and this is because the only one who can give us true peace, quench our thirst, and satisfy our hunger is Jesus:
And Jesus said unto them, I am the bread of life: he that cometh to me shall never hunger; and he that believeth on me shall never thirst.
John 6:35
These two verses are undoubtedly a fundamental part of evangelization. To make each person understand that we are evil, Christ died on a cross, and how there is salvation for everyone who believes in the Son of God.
