Oh, Lord we give glory and honor to You for Your love and great mercy with orphans and people who can not fend for themselves. You are their livelihood and their help, their helper is You my God.
Today we are grateful that You are always aware of each one of those people who, because of the sin of man, have been born that way, and have still suddenly become blind, lame, and other difficulties, but You God, you pity them.
God does as He wants and with whom He wants. God has mercy, but those who cannot fend for themselves are sometimes insulted and mistreated, people don’t show them love, or help them when they ask for food. This should not be so, because if God is merciful to those who can fend for themselves, then we must show that same love for those who cannot fend for themselves.
Thou hast seen it; for thou beholdest mischief and spite, to requite it with thy hand: the poor committeth himself unto thee; thou art the helper of the fatherless.
Psalm 10:14
The Word of God reminds us that the Lord is not indifferent to pain, injustice, or human weakness. On the contrary, God inclines His ear to the cry of the needy and extends His hand to those who have no one to defend them. While the world often looks away or becomes hardened by selfishness, God remains attentive, compassionate, and faithful to those who trust in Him.
Sometimes we see people with visual disabilities who want to work and have all the courage in the world to do it, others who cannot walk but look for ways to move to work, and each of these people manage to move forward, God always helps and gives them new strength so that they can achieve it.
These people teach us powerful lessons of perseverance, humility, and faith. Even in the midst of great limitations, many of them rise every day with hope, trusting that God will provide what they need. Their lives are testimonies that strength does not come from physical ability alone, but from a heart that depends on God.
God’s reward for each of these people is great for their courage and effort to work. God looks at them day after day, from heaven He is pending to glorify himself greatly.
Although many may not receive recognition from society, God sees what others overlook. He values their faithfulness, their patience, and their willingness to continue despite adversity. The Lord is just, and He will reward every act of trust placed in Him, even when human help fails.
As believers, we are called to reflect the heart of God. We cannot claim to love God while ignoring the suffering of others. Compassion is not optional for the Christian; it is evidence of a transformed heart. Helping the poor, the orphan, and those who cannot fend for themselves is not only an act of kindness, but an act of obedience to God.
His reward is greater above all. Let us believe God, He is faithful and His mercy is perfect every day. That is why we give thanks to the Lord. And as it says in the same Bible, that He is our shelter and strength in the midst of tribulation. God will always be our only help.
May our lives reflect this truth daily. Let us open our eyes to the needs around us, extend our hands with love, and remember that whatever we do for the least among us, we do it as unto the Lord. God remains the defender of the helpless, and in Him alone we place our trust.
