We must be very careful as we walk and with whom we walk, since there are many fools on the road, so we must be diligent in everything we do.
In our walk we have to be wise and likewise walk as wise, not as fools because everyone who is foolish in everything he does fails, but also one of the characteristics of a foolish person is to do evil and walk as they want to do everything what is to their liking.
Walking wisely is not something that happens by chance; it is a conscious decision that every believer must make daily. Wisdom is demonstrated in our actions, in our words, and in the way we respond to the situations that arise along the way. Many people claim to know God, but their walk shows the opposite, because they live guided by impulses, emotions, and personal desires instead of by the Word of God.
See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise,
Ephesians 5:15
The apostle Paul exhorts believers to walk circumspectly, meaning carefully, attentively, and with discernment. This implies that the Christian life requires vigilance, because the world is full of influences that can easily lead us away from the will of God. Wisdom allows us to discern between what is right and what is wrong, between what builds us up and what destroys us.
Foolish and wise people have existed all the time, because the enemy is the one who takes care that people do not have God, that they turn away from God, and that is why many things happen around us.
A foolish man is capable of anything, this because they do not think of anyone always live in their mistake and wanting to conquer others to do the same as them. That is why we must take advantage of time and walk well in front of that great and powerful God.
The foolish person not only harms himself, but also influences others negatively. Many people are dragged into error simply because they follow the wrong company. Scripture repeatedly warns us about the danger of bad influences and encourages us to surround ourselves with people who fear God and walk in righteousness.
That is why it is good to do what Ephesians 15 tells us: to walk well before God, not as fools, nor to imitate them.
Walking wisely also means living with the awareness that God is watching us at all times. Our walk is not hidden from Him, and every decision we make has consequences. A wise believer understands that life is not about pleasing oneself, but about glorifying God in everything.
Let us not forget that God is sovereign and sees everything that is around us, in the center of the earth, on the earth, at the bottom of the sea, in the heavens, in the universe, and wherever there is life.
Redeeming the time, because the days are evil.
Ephesians 5:16
Paul also reminds us of the importance of redeeming the time. The days are evil, and opportunities to do good, to serve God, and to grow spiritually should not be wasted. Time is a gift from God, and how we use it reflects the priorities of our hearts.
For it is good to take advantage of time, but how can we take advantage of it ?, doing good things, walking straight before God, doing things that God likes, because our time is money and if we do not take advantage of it, we will regret it later.
Redeeming the time involves making wise decisions, avoiding distractions that do not edify, and investing our efforts in eternal things. Prayer, reading the Word, serving others, and sharing the gospel are ways to use our time wisely and fruitfully.
So, let’s walk like wise sons before God, stop wasting time on things that don’t edify and taking advantage of it to learn new things from Him and preaching the gospel to every creature.
May our walk reflect the wisdom that comes from above, so that our lives may be a testimony to the grace and truth of God in a world that desperately needs His light.
