The vanity of money

Vanity is something that goes through the front of the whole world, and many are those who fall under its offer, not remembering that this being vain does not please God.

This being vain is something that is like the termite, which day after day is eating away taking everything that was good and turning it into something that does not work. Happens in the same way with the heart of all those who are vain.

He that loveth silver shall not be satisfied with silver; nor he that loveth abundance with increase: this is also vanity.

Ecclesiastes 5:10

The word of God says in 1 Timothy 6:10 “For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows”. In truth this gives us to understand that everyone who loves money, loves it more than himself, and loses his humility, because in his eyes is the sign of money.

Psalm 138:6 “Though the Lord be high, yet hath he respect unto the lowly: but the proud he knoweth afar off”. This is a great truth, because there were many who, having their riches, humiliated their neighbor, despised him, denied him food, then all these kings who believed they were everything were humiliated by Almighty God.

When goods increase, they are increased that eat them: and what good is there to the owners thereof, saving the beholding of them with their eyes?

Ecclesiastes 5:11

King Solomon knew why he said these words, since He was surrounded by powerful, people who lived well, who had great wealth but did not share it with their neighbors, but all those who help their neighbors and do not despise them, nor they are exalted, they are prospered by God, the blessings of God abound in their house.

The sleep of a labouring man is sweet, whether he eat little or much: but the abundance of the rich will not suffer him to sleep.

Ecclesiastes 5:12

The proverb says in some verses, that the righteous eat with what little he gets and sleeps quietly, but the rich man can not sleep peacefully, because he dawns thinking if something is stolen from him. It is not bad to have what to survive, but do not stop being humble, or reject your relatives and your neighbors. It is good that each day we ask God to help us to remain humble, helping the needy, and not to love money but to use it only for the needs that arise.
