God loves you

God has loved us all the time despite the failures we have had before Him, so much so that if He had not loved us He would not die for us on the cross of Calvary for our sins.

God’s love for us is so profound that He gave His only son for humanity, being mistreated by us on earth during His ministry. The Bible tells us about these events during the sermons of Christ.

Many of those who walked in the crowd, some to listen to the word of God and others mockers of it, others were seeking healing, and there were also scribes and Pharisees who criticized the Lord’s teachings.

And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him.

1 John 4:16

Truly the love of God is visible to all who want to abide in Him, today many reject the call of Christ in their hearts, so my question is how can they say that the Lord abides in them when they still do not have received Him.

The book of John tells us that the love of God abides in that who also abides in Christ Jesus, because everyone who has known God has love and practices all that is good, but everyone who does not have the true love of Christ has not met Him.

Herein is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment: because as he is, so are we in this world.

1 John 4:17

The love of God gives us to understand that our trust must be placed in the hands of the Almighty. If His love is within us, then we can give this love so deep to others and teach that only One can give of that great love, and that wonderful being is called God.

We can perceive and appreciate the love of God toward men and women, who dwell on this world, when we see God’s love constrasted with people’s attitude: they do not love one another, but look for themselves, without thinking about their fellow men who are near them. They are always taking advantage of each opportunity they have to increase their goods only for them, or maybe for their children.

That is something natural or “standard”: a natural way of living among men and women on the earth. But it is not so with God, who made all creation out of love, to the welfare of people, and saw that it all was very good:
“And God saw every thing that he had made, and, behold, it was very good.” (Genesis 1:32).

After our forefathers had fallen into disobedience to God, he prepared a solution to escape from the punishment they deserved. The Bible says that God promised them that the Devil, in the figure of the serpent, would be overcome. The Devil would be hurt by Jesus Christ, the seed of the woman.
That victory over the Devil costed Jesus his death on a cross, but on the third day he rose again. He did so out of love to people in the world.

From his sacrifice—from his giving himself up to die on a cross—we now benefit: all those who believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God sent to save sinners.
“And I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your seed and her seed; it shall bruise your head, and you shall bruise his heel.”
    (Génesis 3:15)

The way we can know God and his love, is by loving other people: which will be manifest if we think about and pray for them, and if help them in their necessities. And that, in turn, will show that we know God; for we read:

“As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good to all men, especially to them who are of the household of faith.” (Galatians 6:10)

“He that loves not knows not God; for God is love.”
    (1 John 4:8)

From a Spiritual Being who is love, as God is, and from heaven—where He is—, nothing can come down except blessings of love to his children, who dwell in love with him and with people, especially brothers.
“And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him.” 1 John 4:16

May the Lord God help us to understand how worthy of our love He is; because we have been cleansed and purified through Jesus Christ our Saviour.
