The blessings of the Lord

The blessings of God are good, because they last forever, and that is why it is important that we do not despair while waiting for God to fulfill what He has promised. If God said He was going to bless you, believe it with all your heart. His promises are not like the promises of men—fragile, forgettable, or unstable. What God speaks, He fulfills, and what He begins, He perfects.

We must remember something essential: everything that the Lord gives does not bring sorrow or heaviness to the heart. His blessings are not burdens; they are gifts meant to fill us with joy, peace, and gratitude. When God blesses us, He does it in such a way that even in the process we can sense His love, His care, and His purpose. Even when we do not understand the timing, we can trust the heart of the One who promised.

He will bless them that fear the Lord, both small and great.

Psalm 115:13

Obedience to God is one of the greatest virtues a believer can cultivate. It is not merely outward compliance, but an obedience that flows from the heart. When we walk in obedience, something in our life changes—our perspective, our decisions, our habits, and our desires. A person who fears the Lord understands that this reverence is not terror, but deep respect, admiration, and recognition of God’s holiness and sovereignty.

The fear of the Lord can never be lost. It is this holy fear that keeps us walking in righteousness, practicing good deeds, seeking purity, and avoiding evil. When the fear of God guides our decisions, His blessings naturally come upon us—not because we are perfect, but because obedience aligns us with His perfect will.

The Lord shall increase you more and more, you and your children.

Psalm 115:14

One of the most beautiful promises in Scripture is God’s desire not only to bless us but also to bless our children. If we are wise, attentive to His voice, and responsive to His calling, then our children and even our grandchildren will enjoy the fruit of that obedience. God is a generational God. What He does in us often extends far beyond our lifetime.

When we walk faithfully before the Lord, we leave behind an inheritance that cannot be measured with earthly riches. Our obedience becomes a covering over our home. Our prayers become seeds planted in the next generation. Our devotion becomes a testimony that our children will one day remember and imitate.

But when disobedience governs our steps, things naturally go wrong—not because God stops loving us, but because we step outside the boundaries of His perfect will. It is always safer, wiser, and more blessed to walk in obedience than to follow our own path.

Ye are blessed of the Lord which made heaven and earth.

Psalm 115:15

We are more than privileged—we are chosen, loved, and set apart by the Creator of heaven and earth. God did not bless us because we earned it, but because He loved us before the foundation of the world. This truth should fill us with humility, gratitude, and worship. Every day we wake up sustained by His mercy, embraced by His grace, and strengthened by His faithfulness.

Therefore, let us give glory and honor to the Almighty God who looks down from heaven with compassion and care. He left His Holy Word so that we may learn, grow, and know Him intimately. He guides us, comforts us, blesses us, and sustains us. Truly, God is good—always good, forever good.

Trust in His promises, walk in obedience, honor Him with your life, and you will see His blessings unfold in ways you never imagined. For the Lord delights in blessing those who fear Him, both small and great.

  1. The blessings of the Lord
    ====================
All blessings of the Lord come on those who fear Him, those who respect his Law and love Him.
The Lord God is a sovereign God who acts freely, according to his Will, with people both small and great.

Psalm 115, In verses 13-15, tells us:
“He will bless them that fear the Lord, both small and great.”

There is a blessing to parents and their children. Children are a blessing of the Lord.
Promises are a blessing to God-fearing parents and for their children too. (Acts 2:39)
“The Lord shall increase you more and more, you and your children”

All of us, children of God who have believed in Him through Jesus Christ his Son, have received the best of blessings: to have the door open to be near the Father who is in Heaven; the door open to come to the throne of grace, and there ask Him everything we need. And we can do that because Jesus Christ is the door. Jesus said:
“I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture.” (John 10:9)

He loves righteous people who have been justified, who seek to do his Will. And that certainly makes us a people blessed of the Lord.
“Ye are blessed of the Lord which made heaven and earth.”

Let’s all of us be a grateful people to God, in order to live for the praise of his name
