Inexhaustible love

Have you thought for a moment how much God has loved you? His love is not weak, temporary, or uncertain; it is eternal, faithful, and perfectly revealed in Christ. Truly, God loves you.

Have You Considered the Love of God?

Have you thought for a moment how much God has loved you? Many times we go before God only to present our problems, our anxieties, our fears, and our needs. This is not wrong, because the Lord Himself invites us to come boldly before His throne of grace. He commands us to cast our burdens upon Him, to pray without ceasing, and to trust Him in every circumstance.

However, the truth is that we often forget to approach Him simply to remember His goodness. We forget to pause and meditate on how much He has loved us. We forget to give Him glory, honor, gratitude, and heartfelt worship without asking for anything in return. We approach Him with petitions, but many times we fail to approach Him with wonder.

The Christian life must not be reduced to asking God for help only when trouble comes. We must also learn to contemplate His love, rejoice in His mercy, and praise Him because He has been infinitely good to us. If we only look at our problems, our hearts will become heavy. But when we look at the love of God revealed in Christ, our souls are strengthened with hope.

There are moments when we must stop, breathe deeply, and say: “Lord, before I ask You for anything today, I want to thank You for loving me. I want to remember the cross. I want to worship You because You have been merciful to my soul.” A grateful heart is a heart that has learned to see the love of God.

The Cross Is the Greatest Declaration of Love

The love of God is incomparable. Not even the most emotional love story that has ever moved your heart can come close to the story of the cross. Human love can be beautiful, sincere, and sacrificial in many ways, but no human love can compare with the love of God demonstrated at Calvary.

The cross is the greatest declaration of love in the history of the universe. It is the story of a holy God giving His Son for an unworthy humanity. It is the story of grace offered to rebels, mercy extended to sinners, forgiveness purchased for the guilty, and eternal life given to those who deserved condemnation.

Imagine this for a moment: God loved us so much that He sent His only Son to die for us while we were still His enemies. We were not seeking Him with pure hearts. We were not lovers of holiness. We were not deserving of His compassion. We were sinners, lovers of darkness, and unable to save ourselves.

Yet, knowing all this, God sent His Son to rescue us. Christ came willingly. He took upon Himself human nature, walked among sinners, obeyed the Father perfectly, and delivered Himself to death on a cross. Is that not more than enough reason for us to praise Him every day of our lives?

God Did Not Merely Declare His Love

Many people can speak of love, but not everyone proves love through sacrifice. God did not merely declare His love with beautiful words; He demonstrated it through the greatest act in history. He gave His Son to die in our place, bearing our guilt, shame, punishment, and sin.

This is what makes the love of God so glorious. It is not sentimental weakness. It is not a vague feeling. It is holy, powerful, redemptive love. God loved us in a way that satisfied justice, displayed mercy, and secured salvation for His people. At the cross, the seriousness of sin and the greatness of divine love were revealed together.

If we ever doubt the love of God, we must look again at Calvary. There we see the Son of God wounded for transgressions that were not His own. There we see the righteous One suffering for the unrighteous. There we see the Lamb of God carrying the sins of His people. There we see love written in blood.

The cross tells us that God’s love is not empty speech. It is action, sacrifice, redemption, and grace. God proved His love by giving what was most precious: His only begotten Son. No blessing, no gift, no earthly favor can surpass this demonstration of mercy.

Nothing Can Separate Us from His Love

Do you know how much God loves us? His love is so deep, so strong, and so eternal that nothing in all creation can separate us from Him:

37 Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.

38 For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,

39 Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Romans 8:37-39

These words should fill every believer with joy and security. Paul does not speak with hesitation. He says, “I am persuaded.” His heart is convinced. His faith is firm. He knows that no created thing has the power to separate the children of God from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Neither death nor life can separate us. Neither angels nor principalities can separate us. Neither present troubles nor future uncertainties can separate us. No height, no depth, no creature, no force, no enemy, no accusation, no darkness, and no trial can tear the believer away from the love of God.

This is not because we are strong in ourselves. It is because God’s love is stronger than everything that rises against us. Our security is not rooted in our ability to hold God tightly, but in His power to hold us faithfully. The love of God is unbreakable because God Himself is unchanging.

More Than Conquerors Through Him

Paul says that in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. This does not mean that the Christian never suffers. It does not mean that believers never cry, never lose, never feel pain, or never pass through dark valleys. The Christian life includes battles, afflictions, temptations, grief, and moments of weakness.

But the believer is more than a conqueror because the love of Christ gives victory even in the middle of suffering. The world may think victory means never facing trouble, but Scripture teaches us something deeper. Victory is being sustained by God when trouble comes. Victory is continuing in faith when the road is painful. Victory is knowing that no trial can separate us from Christ.

This is why we can confidently ask, who against us? If God is for His people, no enemy has the final word. The believer may be attacked, but not abandoned. Pressed, but not destroyed. Tested, but not forsaken. Weak, but strengthened by grace.

Our victory comes through Him who loved us. Not through our own intelligence, strength, experience, resources, or ability. We are more than conquerors because Christ has already conquered sin, death, and the grave. His love has secured what our strength could never obtain.

The Love of God Is Inexhaustible

God has loved us with an inexhaustible love. His love has no weakness, no exhaustion, no corruption, and no instability. Human love can become tired, offended, distracted, or cold. But the love of God is eternal because it flows from His eternal nature.

This love does not fluctuate according to our emotions. There are days when we feel strong and days when we feel weak. Days when we pray with joy and days when our prayers come with tears. Days when our faith seems firm and days when fear attacks the soul. But the love of God does not rise and fall with our emotional condition.

His love is anchored in Christ. This is why Romans 8 says that nothing can separate us from the love of God “which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.” The believer is loved in Christ, accepted in Christ, kept in Christ, and secured in Christ. Our hope is not in ourselves, but in the perfect work of our Savior.

This truth should bring rest to every anxious heart. God’s love is not fragile. It is not based on our perfection. It is not removed by weakness. The Father loves His children with faithful, holy, covenant love, and He disciplines, guides, restores, and sustains them according to His perfect will.

Held in the Hands of the Almighty

Oh beloved brothers and sisters, who or what can snatch us out of His hands? If the love of God is unbreakable, then our security is unshakable. We rest in the hands of the Almighty, hands that formed the universe, hands that sustain creation, and hands that were pierced for our salvation.

Those same hands now hold us, guard us, and carry us. We are not floating through life without care or direction. We are not abandoned to chance. We are not forgotten in the middle of our trials. The Lord knows His people, watches over them, and remains faithful even when they feel weak.

His hands support us when we walk through the valley of darkness. His hands accompany us in moments of loneliness. His hands strengthen us when weakness overwhelms us. His hands lift us when we fall. His hands guide us through the fire so that we are not consumed.

This is why every believer can rest in the truth that the Lord your God is with you. His presence is not an empty idea; it is the comfort, strength, and refuge of His children. When God is with us, we are never truly alone.

His Love Sustains Us in the Valley

There are valleys in life where words seem insufficient. Valleys of sickness, grief, betrayal, financial pressure, family conflict, spiritual weariness, and hidden tears. In those moments, the heart may ask whether God sees, whether He cares, and whether He is still near.

Romans 8 answers with power: nothing can separate us from the love of God. Not the valley. Not the tears. Not the silence. Not the trial. Not the darkness. Not the pain. The love of God remains firm even when our emotions tremble.

His hands steady us through the waters so that we are not drowned. His hands wipe our tears, restore our souls, and give us new hope. Sometimes He removes the storm quickly; other times He strengthens us while the storm continues. But in every case, His love remains present and faithful.

The believer must not measure God’s love only by easy days. The cross already proved His love forever. Even when life is difficult, the love of God has not failed. Even when we do not understand His ways, His heart toward His people remains good, wise, and merciful.

Love That Crowns Us with Mercy

The love of God is not only seen in the great act of salvation, but also in His daily mercy toward us. Every day we are sustained by grace. Every breath, every answered prayer, every protection, every correction, every provision, and every moment of strength is a testimony of divine kindness.

Many times we do not even realize how much mercy God has shown us. He has protected us from dangers we never saw. He has closed doors that would have harmed us. He has corrected us when we were drifting. He has comforted us when no one else understood. He has carried burdens we could not carry alone.

This is why we must remember that God is the One who crowns you with favors and mercy. His love is not distant or theoretical. It touches real life. It reaches our weakness, our needs, our fears, and our daily walk.

When we begin to notice these mercies, gratitude grows. The believer learns to say, “Lord, You have been better to me than I deserve. You have loved me, forgiven me, sustained me, protected me, and guided me. All glory belongs to You.”

Stop Worrying for a Moment and Remember

So today, pause for a moment. Stop asking for a moment. Stop worrying for a moment. Stop allowing fear to dominate your thoughts. Simply remember how deeply, how fully, and how faithfully God has loved you. Let gratitude fill your heart. Let worship rise from your soul.

Think about the cross. Think about the blood of Christ. Think about the sins forgiven. Think about the wrath removed. Think about the adoption received. Think about the eternal hope secured. Think about the many times God has sustained you when you did not know how you would continue.

The love of God should produce worship, confidence, humility, obedience, and joy. If He loved us when we were enemies, will He abandon us now that we are His children? If He gave His Son for us, will He fail to care for us? If He has promised that nothing can separate us from His love, should we not rest in Him?

Beloved, there is no greater treasure than knowing that we are loved by the God of heaven. The world may reject, circumstances may change, people may fail, and strength may fade, but the love of God remains forever.

Conclusion: Rest in His Unbreakable Love

Just God is with us, and with Him we are more than conquerors. Not because of our own strength, but because of His love. A love that remains when everything else fades. A love that reaches us even in our lowest moments. A love that covers our fears, heals our wounds, and assures us that we belong to Him forever.

Let us not live as people who have forgotten the greatest proof of love ever given. Let us return again and again to the cross. Let us remember that Christ died for sinners, rose in victory, and now holds His people securely. Let us worship more, complain less, trust more, and fear less.

If your heart is weary today, meditate on Romans 8. If your soul feels afraid, remember that nothing can separate you from the love of God in Christ Jesus. If you feel weak, remember that you are more than a conqueror through Him who loved you. If you feel alone, remember that His hands are holding you.

May this truth strengthen your faith today: God has loved you with an everlasting love. His love is deeper than your pain, stronger than your fear, greater than your weakness, and more faithful than any earthly love. Rest in Him, worship Him, and live every day with the joy of knowing that you are loved by the God of heaven.

The sin of men and women is the cause of all evil on the world, and from sin comes death. This was established by God, the Creator of all things, after the first man and woman rebelled against Him and were punished.

The Lord God showed his love to our first parents promising them a saviour, one man born of the seed of a woman, Jesus, the Saviour of the world.

Later, men and women were terrible transgressors of his holy Law, which was proclaimed to honour the Lord God and to regulate their lives, seeking they did not hurt one another, because they were continually inclined to do evil things. The Lord God continued loving people, sending them prophets who advised them to leave their evil works time after time; but they attacked prophets, even killed them sometimes.

Afterwards the Lord God showed his inexhaustible love to his people: he sent his beloved Son, who humbled himself and was sent to death on the Cross. His blood was shed and so he cleansed our souls of sin; and we were thus made children of God.

    “Jesus Christ,
Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God:
But made himself of no reputation, and took on him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men:
And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient to death, even the death of the cross.”
    (Philippians 2:6-8)

In Jesus our Saviour we are more than conquerors in all our troubles, since to be in Jesus means to be assured of everlasting life.

“Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.”
    (Romans 8:37)

We wait for the Lord God, who loved his people with inexhaustible love, giving himself up for us in the person of his beloved Son Jesus Christ
