From wisdom we receive countless benefits that shape our character, guide our decisions, and help us walk through life with clarity.
Wisdom is not merely the ability to gather information or respond quickly to a situation; biblical wisdom goes far beyond human logic. It is a divine provision that comes directly from God, enabling us to discern what is right, to reject what is evil, and to walk in paths of righteousness. True wisdom teaches us to fear the Lord, to trust His Word, and to live in such a way that our actions reflect His glory. Without wisdom, we stumble, but with wisdom, we walk securely.
Every day we should acknowledge that wisdom is a gift from above. It is God who enlightens our understanding and gives us the ability to face challenges with integrity and patience. Human wisdom alone is insufficient, for it tends to exalt self and depend on intellect rather than the Lord. But the wisdom that comes from God humbles us, molds us, and teaches us to depend on Him in every circumstance.
Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding.
Proverbs 4:7
This verse emphasizes that acquiring wisdom is not optional. It is the principal thing, the foundation upon which a righteous life is built. Solomon—known as the wisest king who ever lived—understood that earthly success and prosperity meant nothing if they were not governed by divine wisdom. His words remind us that God is the source of wisdom and understanding, and that we must intentionally seek them if we desire to live well.
Yet, there is a danger: becoming wise in our own eyes. When a person trusts only in their own reasoning, they fall into pride. Pride blinds the heart and convinces us that our way is correct even when it leads to destruction. Some may experience temporary success, but lacking wisdom, they mismanage blessings, relationships, and opportunities, eventually losing what they once possessed. Wisdom, however, teaches humility. It instructs us to submit to God, to listen before speaking, and to walk cautiously and prayerfully.
Exalt her, and she shall promote thee: she shall bring thee to honour, when thou dost embrace her.
Proverbs 4:8
Those who refuse wisdom see problems as mountains and blessings as insignificant. They react impulsively and often regret their decisions. But those who embrace wisdom from above remain firm even in adversity. Wisdom steadies the heart, strengthens faith, and grants clarity in moments of confusion. Solomon honored wisdom because he understood that his leadership depended on it. Without wisdom, he could not govern a nation; with wisdom, God established his reign.
She shall give to thine head an ornament of grace: a crown of glory shall she deliver to thee.
Proverbs 4:9
Wisdom produces something beautiful in us. It adorns us with grace, humility, and discernment. Those who walk in wisdom do not panic when trouble comes; instead, they respond with calmness and trust. Their words bring peace, their attitudes reflect maturity, and their actions demonstrate the fear of the Lord. Wisdom becomes a spiritual crown that beautifies the soul.
If today you feel that you lack wisdom, do not be discouraged. The Bible promises that God gives wisdom generously to all who ask Him. You do not need great intelligence, a perfect past, or impressive abilities. You only need a humble heart that recognizes its need for God. Seek Him earnestly, open His Word daily, meditate on His truth, and He will grant you understanding for every decision you must make.
Wisdom is not achieved in a day; it is cultivated through a lifetime of walking with God. But the reward is immeasurable. God Himself crowns His children with wisdom when they seek Him sincerely. Embrace that gift and walk confidently in the fear of the Lord.

Benefits of wisdom
================
Why do wars break out in the world? Why do people suffer abuses among them, or why do women suffer sexual abuse? Why is domestic abuse manifested in victims of gender-based violence? Why is there children abuse, animal abuse and, in general, abuses of nature?
Because between men and women are evil people and lack wisdom, the wisdom that is from above, which comes from God.
I want to think a little in relation to today’s issue, as it is mentioned in the Bible by the apostle James:
“But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be entreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy.”
(James 3:17)
Such a kind of wisdom really is a gift from God, which can be received by people who have been blessed by faith. By putting that wisdom into practice, they wish to please the Lord and benefit match people.
It is a wisdom not influenced by personal interest; it seeks the peace among people, with love and mercy, and it tries to be kind to all without hypocrisy or hidden selfish looks.
It is, in sum, the wisdom of God: the only good and wise being who deserves honor and glory from all his creation.
We ought to pray that our Lord may give us such a kind of wisdom: because that will truly help this lost world to love each other, to achieve peace, the peace of Jesus for salvation of all who believe in Him.
May we give glory to the Lord God of heaven and earth, who has given this World to his beloved Son Jesus Christ: He is the power of God and the Wisdom of God.
(1 Corinthians 1:24).
AMEN.
