In the day when I cried out, You answered me

It is good to read these words spoken by the psalmist David, who when was in His difficult moments, cried out to God and remembered that day that happened. Moments where not everyone could endure, but despite that God answered him.

David experienced trials that tested every fiber of his being. There were seasons in which he was persecuted, betrayed, and surrounded by enemies. Yet, in the midst of all those storms, his heart always turned toward the Lord. This reminds us that faith is not the absence of problems, but the confidence that God listens and answers in His perfect time. When we read his words, we see the example of a man who learned to cling to God even when everything around him seemed to collapse.

This man trusted fully in God, he prayed to the Lord and the Lord answered him, but that was because the psalmist David had a heart ready to wait for the perfect will of God. He did not care in the situation he was in, but before all this trial he stood firm and God strengthened him.

In the day when I cried out, You answered me, And made me bold with

strength in my soul. Psalm 138:3

David recognized that his strength did not come from his own abilities but from God, who infused courage into his soul. Despite his disobedience God had mercy on him, because he was a man of humility, of character, acting according to the will of God and grateful of God for His goodness.

This teaches us that even when we fail, God does not close His ears to a repentant heart. His mercy is far greater than our mistakes, and His compassion renews us so that we may rise again. David’s life is a reminder that God values sincerity and humility above perfection. What matters most is that our hearts remain tender before Him, willing to be corrected and restored.

One thing happens and that is that God is pleased with the people who glorify and exalt His name, and that is why we should be grateful for the miraculous work of God. Gratitude opens doors to blessing, because when we acknowledge God’s works, our faith grows and our perspective changes. Instead of focusing on what we lack, we begin to recognize how much God has already done for us.

All the kings of the earth shall praise You, O Lord, When they hear the

words of Your mouth. Psalm 138:4

The Scriptures remind us that one day every ruler and every nation will recognize the greatness of God. His Word has power to transform, to confront, to restore, and to guide. One of the things that the human being must have pending each day is respect the laws of God, glorify His name, praise Him for His wonders, because when the Lord speaks we must keep silence, because by Him all things exist.

Yes, they shall sing of the ways of the Lord, For great is the glory of the

Lord. Psalm 138:5

When we meditate on His ways, our hearts find peace. God’s paths are righteous, His judgments perfect, and His plans unshakable. Even when we do not understand what He is doing, His glory remains firm, and His purposes continue to unfold for our good.

It is good to remember that God is the only savior, and that His ways are perfect, He is the one who helps us to make our paths safe. Because the God of all things, who knows everything, He is great in mercy, in goodness, He teaches us what true joy is. God our sustenance, let us praise the almighty King.

May we learn, like David, to cry out to the Lord in our distress and to acknowledge His hand in every season. Let us cultivate hearts filled with gratitude, reverence, and trust, knowing that the God who answered David is the same God who listens to us today. His mercy surrounds us, His love sustains us, and His glory is revealed to all who seek Him with sincerity.

  1. In the day when I cried out, You answered me
    ======================
We must be always confident m that the Lord God, creator of our lives, has prepared everything we need in this world. He takes care of us, he loves us, he has spared not his own Son and gives us freely all things (Romans 8:32).

“In the day when I cried out, You answered me,
And made me bold with strength in my soul.”
    Psalm 138:3

If all these are benefits the children of God have received from Him, then we can trust that the Lord will listen to us when we are in trouble.

We must not forget that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.

“The Spirit of God bears witness with our spirit that we are the children of God” (Romans 8:16)

So if we have this grace from God, we have received faith to believe in Jesus Christ and through him to be members of the family of God, then,

We must be a faithful people of the Lord God: because he is our Father that is in the heavens; He has chosen us by the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has justified us before Him.

May the Lord God be glorified by our good works. Amen.
