Do not look for a miracle, look for the Man of the miracles

Everyone who has a need, resorts to seek a solution, be it sick, economically or spiritually. But something very important that happens in the lives of these people is that they immediately get what they wanted, they go away.

Sometimes people tend to be conformist, why? If you have a need and you managed to get to cover it for today, then you will sit down tomorrow so that someone who helps you again appears. This can not be the case, it is advisable, that you look for a way to solve this problem already present and you do not feel just waiting for someone to come to your aid. This happens with many people.

Because of these cases we will talk about the miracle of Jesus with the five thousand people who ate that day.

The Bible says that the Master left the place from where He was to a deserted place in a boat and from all the cities a large crowd followed Him. The people had heard that Jesus would go from there to another place, and upon hearing this they went on foot behind Jesus.

14 And Jesus went forth, and saw a great multitude, and was moved with compassion toward them, and he healed their sick.

15 And when it was evening, his disciples came to him, saying, This is a desert place, and the time is now past; send the multitude away, that they may go into the villages, and buy themselves victuals.

Matthew 14:14-15

The crowd that followed Him did it because they wanted to achieve an objective, but what was the objective of those people? The objective of many of them was to be healed of diseases, others went because they only wanted to follow Jesus, many in search of food, others wanted to hear the sermon of Jesus, but many spectators were also there seeing what Jesus was talking to vociferate against Him. Others were perhaps going to be saved and to hear the word of life that came from Jesus.

As the night approached, the disciples made Jesus the suggestion to send the crowd away because it was too late, so that they go to the villages and buy food. But Jesus saw that they were very tired and answered the following:

16 But Jesus said unto them, They need not depart; give ye them to eat.

17 And they say unto him, We have here but five loaves, and two fishes.

18 He said, Bring them hither to me.

Matthew 14:16-18

Those fish and breads were too little to satiate a large crowd. Jesus asked the breads and fishes to be brought to Him. The disciples may have wondered what the Master would do with those breads and fishes. To their surprise He multiplied them and the whole crowd was satiated.

When one day you make the decision to follow Jesus, do not do it for His miracles, if you are sick, do not think that you will only heal, but try better to save your life that is more important than the healing of your body. God is God. And He does as He pleases to do in our lives.
