Blessed is the one who trusts in God

Having confidence in the Lord is what helps us to continue on the battlefield without fear of anything because we know that God is taking care of us every day.

Trust is one of the most precious virtues that the believer must cultivate, because without it, our walk becomes unstable and full of doubts. When we learn to rest in the sovereignty of God, we realize that nothing escapes His control and that every season of life, whether good or difficult, serves a purpose in His perfect plan. Walking confidently in Him means placing our fears in His hands, recognizing that He sustains our steps even when the path seems uncertain.

God is our guide, He is the one who will lead us on the right path, will free us from the hunter’s ties, and this is the reason why we should be fully trusting in the Lord, because He is faithful and He fulfills His words.

Throughout the Scriptures, God reveals Himself as a Defender, a Shepherd, a Father, and a Mighty Warrior. Each of these descriptions shows us that He takes an active role in our protection. Many times, we do not even realize how many snares He frees us from during the day. His care is constant, and His promises stand firm even when our emotions fluctuate. The faithfulness of God is not a theory; it is a reality proven throughout history and in the lives of all who trust in Him.

8 Hear my prayer, Lord God Almighty;
listen to me, God of Jacob.

9 Look on our shield, O God;
look with favor on your anointed one.

Psalm 84:8-9

Psalm 121:1-2 says:

1 I lift up my eyes to the mountains—
where does my help come from?

2 My help comes from the Lord,
the Maker of heaven and earth.

So, if our help comes from God, why do we worry about what our adversary says, if God is with us?

Worry often comes when we remove our gaze from Christ and place it on the storm. However, God constantly reminds us through His Word that He is our Helper, our Protector, and the Maker of all things. No enemy, circumstance, or trial can override His authority. This truth should produce in us deep peace, because we are not fighting alone; the Lord of hosts stands by our side.

We only have to cry out to God with our hearts, just as this Psalm says, He is God of the armies, He who will help us overcome all that is before us.

Crying out to God is not a sign of weakness, but of humility and dependence. When we lift our voice in prayer, we acknowledge that our strength is limited but His is limitless. God responds to the cry of His children, not always in the way we expect, but always in the way that is best. The cry of a sincere heart moves the hand of God, for He delights in being our refuge in times of anguish.

Remember that God is our strength, He is the shield to that who is in the battle, He sustains us all the time. God is our reason to live, because if we do not have God we do not have life. His eyes are on His anointed and He will not remove them from us.

Knowing that God watches over us should fill us with courage. His shield not only protects us from visible attacks but also from those that never reach us because He stops them before they touch our lives. His care is intentional, personal, and loving. When we understand that He is our sustenance, our fears lose strength and our faith grows stronger.

For the Lord God is a sun and shield;
the Lord bestows favor and honor;
no good thing does he withhold
from those whose walk is blameless.

Psalm 84:11

It is good that we continue under the Lord’s commands, doing the right thing before Him and others, because if we do not do what God has put on us, He will go away by not being obedient.

Obedience keeps us under the shadow of His protection. Although salvation is by grace, blessing flourishes in the heart that walks according to His will. Doing what is right before God strengthens our character and makes us shine as lights in a dark world. When we obey, we testify that God truly reigns in our lives.

Lord Almighty,
blessed is the one who trusts in you.

Psalm 84:12

Let’s not stop trusting in the Lord, because without Him we can not do anything, only God can give us the strength we need to be able to keep on crying out to Him and on the battlefield without fear of our adversaries.

Confidence in God is not a one-time decision but a daily discipline. Every morning we must choose to trust Him again, remembering His past faithfulness and believing in His future provision. When we walk under His shelter, no enemy can destroy us and no battle can defeat us, because the Lord Himself sustains our lives. Blessed are those who trust in Him, for they will never be put to shame.

I will gather you with great mercies
Salvation comes from the Lord

  1. Blessed is the one who trusts in God
    =======================
    It is a thing characteristic of wise people to trust in God, the only one that is mighty to help us in our adversities.
    He is with us at the time of tests or attacks from the Devil, and he can heal our infirmities or prolong our life, as he prolonged Hezekiah’s life for fifteen years. (2 Kings 20:6).

    Blessed are those who love him and trust not in the science of men and men’s resources—which are used to solve human problems, as machines, robots or other devices in the engineering field may do—, but who trust in the power of the almighty, who has created heaven and earth, and who can use human devices to help us. He can order his powerful angels to help his children, and he may use his power to turn something dangerous into a beneficial solution. He can change the mind and will of people so that his purposes are accomplished.
    Glory to the Lord God of hosts!

    Will I lift up my eyes to the mountains or to the way by which we know human help can come?
    No, that does not guarantee me a solution to my problem: I must trust in the power of the Lord God who loves me and wants to protect me from my adversitties.

    We ought to learn from the psalmist who declared:
    “I lift up my eyes to the mountains—
    where does my help come from?
    My help comes from the Lord,
    the Maker of heaven and earth.” Psalms 121:1-2

    May the Lord God give us wisdom to be obedient people in accordance with his Holy Word.
