Netflix supports abortion. Should I cancel my Netflix account for that?

Brian Kemp, governor of the state of Georgia in the United States signed on May 7 a bill that declares abortion illegal if the heartbeat of the fetus can be detected. Many were the reactions, but the one that caught the most attention was that of the streaming company Netflix, whose head of content Ted Sarandos, has said the following regarding this topic:

That is why we decided that we are going to work with the ACLU (United States Union for Civil Liberties) and other organizations to fight against this decree in the courts of justice; given that the legislation has not yet been implemented, we will continue filming in Georgia, at the same time we will keep all those associates and employees who choose not to work there; At the time the law is implemented, we must reconsider all the investment we made in that state.

In short, Netflix will actively fight to prevent the anti-abortion law in Georgia from being approved, and if approved, they may withdraw their investments from that state.

In the previous paragraphs we have provided context to the main theme of this article. Recently we have seen on social networks many christians uploading screenshots of the cancellation of their Netflix account expressing that using the services of a company that supports abortion is the same as supporting abortion. What we are not taking into account here is that there are still many companies whose products and services we use on a day-to-day basis, and those companies also support abortion.

Planned Parenthood is a nonprofit organization that defines itself as “a trusted healthcare provider, an informed educator, a passionate advocate, and a global partner who helps similar organizations around the world”. Among the services they have is abortion. It is said that they perform more than 300,000 a year. This foundation has the support of many companies from which you consume their products and services. Below we list the names only of the most known because the list is long:

You can see the complete list in this link. And they are only companies and foundations that support abortion. If we extrapolate this to homosexuality, we will find several cases. Tim Cook, Apple CEO is openly homosexual and supports homosexuality, so we can not use Apple products. Most of the clothes we wear were designed by homosexuals, so we should also examine well the manufacturers of the clothes we wear.

In short, we would end up not using anything we need on a day-to-day basis. Of course, you are in your right to stop using a product or service because you do not agree with something that the product or service supports, but if you keep consuming it, it does not make you a part of what they promote or support, why? because you only pay to receive the service, those who will answer for that in the day of the final judgment will be them.
