Beloved by my Father

Do you feel unsuccessful on this day? Do you feel that no one loves you and that everyone turns away from you? Well, I have good news for you: “You are loved by God”, do you know what that means? That is the most wonderful thing you can hear, since God does not love us because we deserve it, He loves us because He has decided so and we give glory to our Creator for it, because being we imperfect people He can bear us.

There are days when the heart becomes heavy and we wonder if our life is truly valuable or if our efforts have any meaning. Many times we allow human approval to define us, and when that approval is absent, our spirit feels crushed. But the love of God is not like the unstable love of people; it is firm, eternal and unconditional. God does not withdraw His affection because of our failures; on the contrary, His love sustains us in the midst of them. This is why the gospel is such good news: it reminds us that even in our darkest moments, the Lord looks at us with compassion and extends His mercy.

The Unfailing Nature of Divine Love

When we experience seasons of deep discouragement, it is easy to project our human experiences onto our relationship with the Creator. We often think that because we have failed, we must have forfeited our place in God’s favor. However, Scripture paints a profoundly different picture of the Divine heart. God’s love is not transactional; it is not a reward for our performance but a manifestation of His very nature, which is love itself. Throughout the pages of the Bible, we see a God who relentlessly pursues His creation, even when they turn their backs on Him.

This love is foundational to our identity. When you anchor your self-worth in the fact that you are loved by the Almighty, the opinions of others lose their power to dismantle your spirit. You are not defined by your mistakes, your job status, or your social standing. You are defined by the One who knit you together in your mother’s womb. Choosing to believe this truth is the first step toward spiritual liberation and emotional healing.

God’s Constant Presence Throughout History

God has never left His people alone and this is demonstrated throughout all history in the Scriptures. Let us remember that Christ being God became man and came to die for us, and after He died and resurrected He had to ascend to heaven, even so, He always thought of us, not to leave us alone, and as a reward He promised to send us to the Comforter: “The Holy Spirit”, to guide us every moment of our lives:

20 On that day you will realize that I am in my Father, and you are in me, and I am in you.

21 Whoever has my commands and keeps them is the one who loves me. The one who loves me will be loved by my Father, and I too will love them and show myself to them.”

John 14:20-21

The Promised Comforter: Our Internal Guide

In verse 20 Jesus is talking about the promise of the Holy Spirit. Let us remember that it is the Holy Spirit that convinces us of sin and at the same time guides us to the full knowledge of the truth in Christ Jesus. At that moment of Christ departing and them receiving the Holy Spirit, they would remember with great fullness all that Christ had taught; that is, the veil of their faces would be removed and they would arrive at spiritual knowledge. This is also how it happens with us: when we receive God, our understanding is transformed, our thoughts are renewed and we begin to see life with a clarity that only comes from heaven.

The Holy Spirit serves as a constant companion in a world that often feels lonely and chaotic. This divine presence is not a distant force but an intimate counselor. By dwelling within the believer, the Spirit provides a sense of direction that is not subject to the shifting tides of external circumstances. When you feel lost, the Spirit reminds you of the teachings of Jesus, bringing comfort and wisdom exactly when you need it most.

Finding Assurance in the Midst of Fear

The presence of the Holy Spirit is the assurance that we are not walking alone. When fear overwhelms us, when uncertainty surrounds us, or when our heart doubts whether God truly cares, the Spirit of God testifies to our spirit that we belong to Him. He comforts us, strengthens us and reminds us that Christ is always near. This divine companionship is one of the greatest gifts God has given His people. It is a guarantee of security that transcends human logic and provides a foundation upon which we can build our entire lives.

The Relationship Between Love and Obedience

Now, we must also know that the one who says that he loves God must keep His commandments, otherwise he is hypocritical and does not really love God. One thing is to fail—because we are human and anyone can make a mistake—but another very different is to know that you are in error and never want to change that for the love of God. True love is shown in obedience, in the desire to honor the Lord with our actions and decisions. Remember that if we love the Father, He then loves us, and when we walk in His ways, we experience the fullness of that love in our daily life. God blesses, sustains and strengthens those who seek Him with a sincere heart.

Living a Life Transformed by Faith

Authentic faith is never stagnant. It expresses itself through a lifestyle that seeks to reflect the character of God. This does not imply perfection, as our human condition is marked by imperfection, but it does imply a posture of humility and repentance. When we fail, we return to the Father with a contrite heart, and He restores us. This cycle of grace and obedience is what keeps our relationship with Him vibrant and alive. It is a journey of becoming more like Christ each day, letting His love permeate every thought, word, and deed.

The Practical Application of Divine Love

How do we practically live out this love? By prioritizing time with God through prayer, meditation on the Scriptures, and community with other believers. When we fill our minds with His truth, we become less susceptible to the lies of the enemy. We start to recognize that our value is not measured by the world’s standards, but by the fact that we have been redeemed. This realization changes how we treat ourselves and others. As we experience God’s unconditional love, we become conduits of that same love to those around us, creating a ripple effect of hope in a world desperately in need of it.

Overcoming Challenges Through Spiritual Resilience

Ultimately, the invitation to walk with God is an invitation to experience life in its fullness. Despite the challenges of today, the promise remains: you are held, you are known, and you are loved with an everlasting love. Trust in His guidance, lean on the Holy Spirit, and walk forward with the confidence that you are never truly alone, for the Creator of the universe is walking right beside you, leading you home.

The path forward involves intentional choices. Every morning, remind yourself of your identity in Christ. When the world tells you that you are not enough, remind yourself that God’s grace is more than enough for every deficiency. Pursue obedience not as a burden, but as a joy, knowing that every commandment is meant to protect you and keep you aligned with His perfect will. This is the true life of faith. It is a life marked by peace, sustained by hope, and anchored in the unshakeable love of the Father who will never forsake those who belong to Him.

Turning Weakness Into Strength

As you continue your walk, remember that every struggle you face is an opportunity for God’s power to be made perfect in your weakness. Do not hide from Him during difficult times; instead, run toward Him. He is the shelter that never fails and the refuge that is always accessible. Your story is not finished, and the best chapters are those written by the hand of God as you surrender to His loving lead. You possess a value that cannot be quantified, because the price paid for your life was the very life of His Son, Jesus Christ.

Maintaining a Heart That Listens

Keep your heart open to the promptings of the Holy Spirit throughout your day. Whether you are at work, at home, or facing a moment of crisis, His counsel is available to you. By remaining steadfast in His word, you cultivate a spiritual resilience that defies the odds. Your testimony will become a beacon of light for others who might also feel lost, proving that in the end, God’s love truly conquers all darkness, heals all wounds, and provides the only lasting satisfaction the human soul will ever know. When we seek Him, we find that His grace is sufficient, His mercy is new every morning, and His love is the anchor that holds us steady through every storm we encounter on this earth.

The Eternal Perspective of the Believer

To truly understand the depth of this love, one must meditate on the sacrifice made at the cross. It was there that the greatest exchange took place: Christ took upon Himself our sins, our failures, and our shame, so that we could be clothed in His righteousness. This is not just a historical event; it is a present reality that changes everything about our daily existence. You are no longer an orphan; you are a child of the King, granted access to the Father’s presence at any time. Take comfort in this truth, walk in the light of His word, and let the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, guard your heart and your mind in Christ Jesus. You are never walking alone, and you are always, unconditionally, and perfectly loved by your Creator.

Walking in this truth requires daily dedication. It means intentionally setting aside the distractions that pull us away from the Source of life. By focusing on the eternal rather than the temporal, we gain a perspective that simplifies our burdens. We recognize that our current struggles are momentary compared to the weight of glory that awaits us. Consequently, our lives become a living testament to the power of Divine grace, showing the world that God is not just an abstract concept, but a living, loving, and present reality for every person willing to receive Him.

  1. Beloved by my Father
    ==================
The Lord Jesus Christ joins together the love we may feel towards Him and our keeping his commands. Then it is a good test for us, if we love Jesus, to follow the instructions from the Father: he must be adored in Spirit and in truth; and people we meet in our daily lives and our brothers must be treated with justice and love.

The apostle John tells us this is what the Lord Jesus Christ said:
“Whoever has my commands and keeps them is the one who loves me. The one who loves me will be loved by my Father, and I too will love them and show myself to them.” John 14:21

If we say we love Jesus, the Lord, and we hate our brother, we lie, because we do not see the Lord but see our brother. The love we feel to our brother shows that love we say we feel for the Lord.

Jesus said about anyone who loves him: if he or she loves him, they will be loved by the Father.
Jesus will love us too and he will show himself to us.

He will show to us. But in what kind of presence will he show to us?
He will show himself maybe as he did to Paul in the way to Damascus, or he will show to us in a spiritual way inside of us (the Lord knows).
But one thing is true, the Lord will fulfil his promise.

If we are able to love our brother, we may love the Lord Jesus Christ too, then the Father will love us also and Jesus will show himself to us.

What do you think about that?
Isn’t it a wonderful thing? I think it is.

    Then, we pray…
Oh Lord, grants us, with the power of your Holy Spirit, to have our love to our brothers increased, so that we may get spiritual blessings for our souls. In Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
