God is your shield, He is your salvation, so you should not fear what may come, because that shield is God, who will keep you from all the darts of those who want to harm you.
In Him is all my trust, because He is the God I can trust with all my heart, there is no other in whom I can trust because He is merciful and kind.
My shield is God Most High, who saves the upright in heart.
Psalm 7:10
Every day we must be right in front of the presence of God, because if we are in His ways we will be more than safe, and His shield will always be before us and will protect us at all times.
If we separate ourselves from the ways of God that are right, then His shield will be separated from us, and we will no longer have protection because we are far from His ways.
We can give an example to the psalmist David, this man trusted completely in God, He stayed on the right paths of God because He knew that being in His ways he could have protection from the Lord.
David overcame everything that came against him, but he did not do it with his own wisdom or with his own strength, but God helped him overcome all the obstacles that were before him, because he trusted in God which was his shield.
I will give thanks to the Lord because of his righteousness; I will sing the praises of the name of the Lord Most High.
Psalm 7:17
That is why this man thanked God with all his heart, praised His name, magnified Him by His wonders, by His beautiful works, and because His shield was always before him, and that shield was the Lord of hosts. Trust in God and walk confidently and He will be our shield.
The message contained in these verses reminds us that the protection of God is not something occasional or temporary, but a covering that surrounds the believer every day. When we read that God is our shield, it means that He is actively involved in defending us, preventing the enemy from destroying our peace, and guarding our paths even when we do not fully see the dangers that surround us. A shield does not eliminate the existence of battles, but it ensures that we are not defeated by them.
Every believer must reflect on the importance of remaining in the right ways of God. Walking uprightly before the Lord does not mean being perfect, but being sincere, seeking to please Him, and depending on His strength. When our heart seeks God, His protection becomes evident. But when we walk away from His ways, we expose ourselves to dangers that could have been avoided if we had remained under His covering.
David understood this truth deeply. Throughout his life he faced giants, wars, betrayals, persecutions and moments of despair. Yet, in all those trials, he testified that his victories came from God. David knew that his wisdom or abilities were not enough to protect him. His shield was God Himself, and that certainty gave him the courage to keep moving forward despite adversity. This same conviction should guide our lives today.
Many times we face emotional, spiritual or even physical battles that seem overwhelming. Fear rises, doubt tries to take control, and our strength seems insufficient. But the Scriptures teach us that those who trust in God can walk with confidence, because the Most High surrounds them with His shield. Even when circumstances appear contrary, the believer can rest in the assurance that God is fighting for him.
Another aspect highlighted in this passage is gratitude. David not only recognized God as his shield but also expressed deep thankfulness. He understood that protection, victories and daily blessings came from the righteousness and goodness of God. In the same way, we must cultivate a grateful heart, remembering that everything we are and everything we have comes from the Lord.
Walking under the shield of God brings peace, strength and direction. It reminds us that we are never alone and that the Most High is attentive to every detail of our lives. Let us trust in Him, remain in His ways, and lift our praise just as David did. God is our shield today, tomorrow, and forever.

The Lord is my shield
=================
My shield is God Most High,
who saves the upright in heart.
Psalm 7:10
Our confidence is with the Lord God who has the power to do anything to maintain us safe to not fall down on disgrace.
In old times when soldiers were equipped with a shield to protect them against arrows and darts of the enemy, they learned to set their shield in a suitable position to protect specially their head and breast of the body.
On other way the Lord God should be our shield if by faith we go closer to Him. We should take him as our best friend and tell him all about our troubles and problems. He can understand them and he is able to solve them.
He surely defends us from spiritual wiles of the Devil, who is always trying to separate us from God.
As far as we are concerned, we ought to try hard with the armor of God to go on in the way of the Scripture, that tells us:
“Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.”
Efes 6 :11
From the armor of God, we take the sword, which means
GOD’S WORD and the shield, as the most important thing, which is FAITH.
By FAITH let’s go to meet our Lord Jesus Christ, who is our shield, our protection in all our adversities.
May the Lord God protect us from the wiles of the Devil.
Amen.
LORD I GIVES YOU THANKS FOR YOUR GOODNESS
