The Lord will not abandon you

Every day we must remember that the Lord does not abandon us at any time and least when we are going through trials and difficulties, He is there to help us, to give us strength.

Sometimes as human beings we make bad decisions that affect us in such a way that we ask ourselves: “Why is this happening to me?” But let’s not forget that the Lord is always with us.

I have set the Lord always before me;
Because He is at my right hand I shall not be moved.

Psalm 16:8

Our trust must always be in the powerful hands of God, He is the one who helps us, He accompanies us wherever we go, He will give us peace and we will receive words of encouragement from Him.

Good when we read the book of Psalms where we meet the Psalmist David expressing how great and wonderful the Lord has been with him, that in his difficult moments God has been present to give him new strength.

Therefore my heart is glad, and my glory rejoices;
My flesh also will rest in hope.

Psalm 16:9

The Psalmist David was a man who, despite his mistakes, humbled himself with all his heart before God. The Lord helped him, sustained him, took care of him, this man truly knew how to fall in love with God. When he cried out to God he did so with all his soul, his flesh, even with his goods.

For You will not leave my soul in Sheol,
Nor will You allow Your Holy One to see corruption.

Psalm 16:10

This man is one of the greatest examples we find in the Bible, a wise man, who served with dedication to the Lord, who trusted in God fully. It is good that every day we can humble ourselves with all our being, soul and everything we have, and maintain our trust in the Lord.

...
Seek the Lord with all your soul and heart
The Lord shall deliver me from every evil work

    I have set the Lord always before me; Because He is at my right hand I shall not be moved. Psalm 16:8

    The fidelity of our God is the warranty we have he does not abandon us. Our sins should be a handicap to meet the Lord because he is three times holy, that is to say, he is the only Holy God who rejects our facts against his Law.

    Therefore we would be lost and hopeless if our refuge was not Jesus, the Lamb of God sacrificed to cleanse all our sins. May His name be blessed for ever.

    He knows us and he predestinated us to be formed by his will, to be the image of Jesus, his perfect Son. So he sees us perfect and pure people before his sight, since Jesus is a perfect and pure man, even true God.
    He sees His Son, as in a mirror, we are his image that are seen on it.
    This is a marvellous thing, but it is real, as the Bible tells us:
    “For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brothers” Romans 8:29.

    Because the Lord Jesus sits at the right hand of the Father, we that have believed in Him, like David says in the Psalm, neither shall be moved nor abandoned.

    Thanks to you oh my heavenly Father, that you love me in Jesus Christ, the firstborn among many brothers. Amen
