God does not reject a grieved and humiliated heart, when we prostrate ourselves before Him with all our heart, telling Him how important He is in our lives, the Lord does not forget our prayers.
However, sometimes we ask and want to receive from God in the blink of an eye, but it is not so. We must ask with patience waiting at His will.
The Lord is nigh unto all them that call upon him, to all that call upon him in truth.
Psalm 145:18
Prayer is one of the most important parts of our lives, it is the one that communicates with God, we use it to ask the Lord for mercy for us and for others, to receive strength from God in difficult times.
A man without prayer is trully lost, because through prayer we can receive a warning from God, perhaps someone want to hurt us, we can also receive healing, liberation, that is why it is important that we maintain full communication with God.
Each day that you invoke the name of the Lord, you draw closer to Him, to know Him and His words that are faithful and true.
He will fulfil the desire of them that fear him: he also will hear their cry, and will save them.
Psalm 145:19
If we follow the Lord’s command and fear Him with all our being, He will hear our cry, and will fulfill the desire of those who walk according to His words and statutes, will save them from the hands that want to hurt them.
The Lord preserveth all them that love him: but all the wicked will he destroy.
Psalm 145:20
It is good to keep in mind that everyone who loves the Lord follows His words and walks right before Him, because those who follow His words will be preserved by the Lord. Let us love the Lord, let us cry out to Him with our hearts, let us wait for His time, when we ask, let us be patient, because God will not let us die in the midst of afflictions.
When we speak of a grieved and humbled heart, we speak of a person who has understood their need for God. The Scriptures constantly remind us that human strength is insufficient, and that the true path to restoration begins when we acknowledge our fragility before the Almighty. A heart that surrenders sincerely is a heart ready to be transformed. God delights in sincerity, and when we approach Him with transparency—without masks or excuses—He responds with compassion and mercy.
Prayer, therefore, is not simply a religious exercise; it is a lifestyle. Through prayer we learn to trust, to wait, and to depend on the timing of God rather than our own impulses. Many believers grow discouraged when answers do not come immediately, but spiritual maturity teaches us that God works beyond what our eyes can see. Waiting is not denial; waiting is preparation. While we wait, God shapes our character, strengthens our faith, and aligns our desires with His perfect will.
It is also important to understand that prayer builds intimacy. The more we speak with God, the more we recognize His voice. Moments of silence, far from being signs of abandonment, often become moments in which God deepens our spiritual understanding. In those quiet seasons, He teaches us to rest, to trust, and to persevere even when the answer seems distant.
Furthermore, prayer allows us to see beyond our own needs. It connects us with the burdens of others, teaching us compassion and solidarity. When we intercede for our brothers, our hearts begin to reflect the very heart of Christ, who lived constantly in communion with the Father and in service to humanity. Through this, we learn that prayer is not only about receiving but also about giving—giving time, love, and spiritual support.
God’s promises for those who call upon Him are firm. He hears, He saves, He preserves. These verbs reflect divine action and remind us that God is not passive. He intervenes, protects, and guides. The righteous may go through afflictions, but they are never abandoned. The Lord keeps watch, surrounds with favor, and sustains those who trust in Him.
For this reason, we must cultivate a constant, disciplined, and sincere prayer life. Not a prayer life based on emotion, but one grounded in conviction. When trials come—and they will—prayer becomes the anchor that prevents us from drifting away. It is the place where we find clarity, strength, and direction.
Therefore, let us approach God every day with humility and expectation. His ears are attentive, His mercy is abundant, and His salvation is certain. Whoever loves Him and calls upon His name will never be ashamed. God listens, God responds, and God sustains His people until the end.

The Lord is attentive to your cry
=======================
The Lord is nigh unto all them that call upon him, to all that call upon him in truth. Psalm 145:18
First of all it is healthy to our body and soul to live in that world depending on the grace of God that brings us salvation to our life. The Lord God, as we must know already, takes care of His children but the grace of God teaches us to walk near Him denying worldly lusts so that we should live soberly, righteously in the fear of God.
This is what the Scripture teaches us.
Now, although the Lord God takes care of us, sometimes we think He is not close to us because he does not hear our cry. We think so, but it is not true. The matter is that we tend to forget the fellowship of the Lord when people who are near us have a bad influence on us, or we leave prayer. Then, problems can come and the Lord wants us to be near Him again. So, the answer to our petitions is delayed. It is true also that on occasions we ask the Lord whithout wisdom and he does not hears us.
Let’s read what is written in the Bible:
“He will fulfil the desire of them that fear him: he also will hear their cry, and will save them” Psalm 145:19
