I will always keep you

We have all read about Jacob whom God later named him Israel. Many judge its beginnings since He stole the blessing of His brother Esau, but we must know to comprehend the purpose of God, after all that blessing was predestinated for Jacob or Israel, and nothing could prevent it. God’s plans are unstoppable. Have not some of you not heard your mother say that when you were born you were about to die? Why did not you die? Because God has a plan with you.

God has kept us in all the moments of our lives, we have gone through processes which we thought we would never leave them, many times forgetting the powerful hand of God, and today is a great day for us to remember that God is with us through of the words that He said to His servant Jacob:

15 I am with you and will watch over you wherever you go, and I will bring you back to this land. I will not leave you until I have done what I have promised you.”

16 When Jacob awoke from his sleep, he thought, “Surely the Lord is in this place, and I was not aware of it.”

17 He was afraid and said, “How awesome is this place! This is none other than the house of God; this is the gate of heaven.”

18 Early the next morning Jacob took the stone he had placed under his head and set it up as a pillar and poured oil on top of it.

19 He called that place Bethel, though the city used to be called Luz.

Genesis 28:15-19

We think: How impressive it is for God to tell someone these words, such as the one in verse 15 where He says him that He will be with him and will keep him wherever he goes. We are impressed by this and many would like God to tell them these words in their most terrible trial. The important thing is that on this day I have good news, God has promised us the same, Christ said: “I am with you every day, until the end of the world, Amen”.

Friends, Christ is with us. His grace is enough for us, His love is enough for us. God is with us and nothing and no one can stop us, He keeps us from the evil one.

...
Nobody loves you like Christ
A great reward

“I am with you and will watch over you wherever you go, and I will bring you back to this land. I will not leave you until I have done what I have promised you.” Genesis 28:15

Jacob was the man God chose to be an important patriarch, a father of Israel, the earthly people of the Lord. In his plans He wanted to chose Jacob, instead of Esau, his twin brother, and He blessed Jacob and said to him: “I will not leave you until I have done what I have promised you,” and He did not bless Esau.

Our Lord is a Sovereign God. He does, as he pleases and no one can say to him “What are you doing”.

Through our Lord Jesus Christ, those who believe in Him are chosen for the praise of his name. “Father; for so it seemed good in your sight.”

Christian people are a part of heavenly Israel, chosen by grace for the Will of God, and He always keeps us and will fulfil his promises.

May the name of the Lord be blessed for ever.
